Q4... The Retail holiday season starts October 1st. That when the volume starts to increase for them. Most Ebay sellers look forward to Sept 1st as that i when sales traditionally start to increase for the holidays. Mine are defintly up over the past week.

Summer Sales totals were 1750 items for June thru July best since 2013 when I did 1790 items. 2014 Was a 1425 items and next best was 2017 with 1425. SE was a big part of this moving $5 cards that 7/8 years ago you could sell at that rate with tracking with shipping only being $1.79-1.99 now its gonna be $3.79 to ship from VA to West Coast instead of $3.49 . The fact they are doing this when gas prices tend to drop during winter eliminating some of their cost should be an offset. It seems more like a money grab and they just need to keep rates the same , but maybe extend a service delay on the time of arrival on items and raise prices for rushed items not FC Mail.

Gas prices are not expected to drop this winter according to most analysts in the oil industry. Increased costs on production coupled with the inflation that is going on don't expect much of a drop. Most think about 15 cents a gallon. Then you add the super increased package load. Either adjust or not it's that simple. Buyers pay shipping not sellers. I knew this was coming a month ago and have already made the adjustments.

It's a fact if life USPS rates will increase. they are still more reliable and cheaper than any of the other services on small packages.

When demand for a service is high common sense is you raise the price.

Read things other than this board and you might learn something. Its going to be funny come October 3rd watching the people complaining about the increase and that nobody ever told them.

Read the 10 year plan. I’m pretty sure it’s publicly viewable. The uneducated comments are laughable.

PirateShip is saying they have an alternative carrier lined up for October 3rd so users don't get robbed by the USPS. I wonder if they will have tracking to upload to ebay?

We will have to wait and see on that one. What I am seeing on Facebook groups is that its going to have to do with larger items. Which they already are cheaper than Ebay shipping on many items.

Which would make sense as another carrier can not compare on the lower stuff with USPS.

Nope people selling items under 1lb will likely just have to deal with it. Those items are where the USPS excels. For all their faults they are still the most efficient.
