Yeah, so we go from a quiet drop yesterday to already having two of today’s cards, and one tomorrow being talked about by the artists.
So much more fun when we get commentary first. |

I like the McCormick Trout. And I'm glad to see Eric Davis in the set.

I would almost donate it right back to him for doing an Eric Davis card. Honestly didn't think we'd see one of those so that was a very pleasant surprise. |

Stopped my Mimsbandz run but definitely picking up this Davis. Best card of the day!

Wu Tang was from Shaolin, not the boogie down. Still love "Enter the Hall." Gonna be my first pickup from Skee. And where did this Mimsbandz come from?! Awesome card. Saladeen's money bear is finally making a legit appearance in the project. As I'm writing this I'm starting to feel a 4 pack in my future. |

I'm in the same boat. It's a nice looking card, really enjoy how colorful it is, but I was hoping for more of an Audrey II from Little Shop vibe. I will still gladly pick one up and continue my Pardee run, this one just falls a bit more on the "bright" side of his brightmares than some of my favorite Pardee cards.

That's probably the best Saladeen card in a long time. Too bad I don't care about Alonso. Good to see a Eric Davis card too. Still, 0 for 12 so far for me this week

Pardee Griffey doesnt do much for me. Looks ok enough, but not too engaging like most of his cards. Bit of a disappointment after the hype it had as a mystery card.
Best of luck to Ken and is, infection, or whatever. |

Is that Griffey a reference to Akira or some other anime? Or unrelated?

If it was supposed to be Akira i'd expect it to be a lot more engorged and puffy. |

His stories have always been a little out there... they really are a stretch though lol but also Pardee is into really cheesy horror so I guess this fits the bill? Last edited by ATeamHasNoName; 09-08-2021 at 09:45 AM. |

Agreed. Not a fan of the card itself but I am a big fan of the folded poster subset.
I am enjoying the rest of today's cards.... Eric Davis makes his debut to the delight of the 80s kids. I've been enjoying the recent Mims releases and this is one of my favorites. Saladeen with a nice addition to the polar bear subset. McCormick with his second straight solid outing after a dismal start. |

I think the Griffey is an aesthetically pleasing card and I'm excited for it. Like his Alonso, I don't find the absence of body horror as damning as some. Fight me.

I immediately thought of that episode of Creepshow with the meteor.
