I have never had any of these Fleer Ted Williams cards so I needed to keep this gently loved Williams....

A Betts and Ryan I grabbed specifically with a different clector in mind for these to end up with:

And then two Awesome Mountcastles! I know a lot of people aren't sold on him, and he is in Baltimore, but I really enjoy him and love when players I like are also cheap to buy!

Nice couple of additions for me and I hope the box is fun for a lot of people to go through now!

Really nice Mountcastles. I like him. The box looks great again. Thanks!

I agree with the Mountcastles!

I felt a little bad taking them as someone else won't be able to have them.

I also just realized I left a couple of cards out of the box that I had out aside to protect a little better and then add them back into the box.

I feel like an idiot, but I won't show them here (they are nice!) and will set them aside to start the freebie box back up. I am sorry about that guys....I feel bad about missing that small stack

Will go thorough tonight and have it back on it's way to cardtrader22 by Friday AM at the latest.

Here is what I grabbed.
I work for Lockheed (until next Feb) and we recently bought Sikorsky.

I will add some goodies and ship tomorrow

Here is some stuff I grabbed while the box came to me. Sorry about the crummy pic. I couldn’t resist the animals and 90s stuff plus the Vespa. I’m going to add my stuff. I found a lot more than I thought. I’m going to get the box ready for it’s next trip.

The 90s numbered Walker cards were something I had no idea even existed until I got them in a huge lot I bought this last summer. Kind of a cool set. My kids are love cats, and I thought about putting that set together as well.

That’s the awesomeness of the box. A little something for everyone. Hopefully it keeps going with these types of cards. On to cardtrader22 Thursday.

Box is on the move again. All the boxes are packed to the gills. Even filled all the space around with various little sets and goodies. I also kept the little Spider-Man figure

Box o stuff has arrived this afternoon. Hope to go through it with my son after his scrimmage game tonight. If not, we will tomorrow and I’ll get pictures up and on it’s way to it’s next destination!

My son and I were able to go through the box tonight. He was super excited to add another graded card to his collection and was able to add some older football and hoops cards to his PC as well.

I was able to grab some heritage & Bowman base for my sets, some soccer cards, one of the Mont Club sets that I never received from Topps, and some other odds and ends!

I have the box ready to go to it’s next destination but I wasn’t sure who was up next. I saw a couple people interested so shoot me a PM and I can get back to you and get this on its way!

Throw me on the list wherever. My son and I love going through the mystery box and we have a stack of stuff that needs a new home.

So I have the box and am just finishing some minor surgery on its contents that I discussed with mmbtvs. It will be ready to go out again at the weekend and I can send to WizardofOz1982 then.

Will post pics of what my son and I took at the weekend.

Default box o stuff giveaway

OK - box is on the way to WizardofOz1982. As always, my son and I had fun going through the box. Here's a picture of what I took:

As an A's fan, it was nice to get a couple of Ray Fosse cards. May he rest in peace. And I got a good few cards for my Hall of the Very Good collection - pleased to get the Brian Giles who I always liked as a player, probably helped by the fact his career year in 2002 played a large role in winning me a fantasy baseball title. Pretty sure my outfield that year of Bonds, Giles, and Adam Dunn led the league in walks, too!

I have no idea what the silly outfit card is, but it made me laugh.

And here is what my son took:

He was really pleased to get a couple of shiny Starling Martes since we'd got to have several Marte parties while he was with the A's, including being there for a walkoff. Skye Bolt is a bit of a personal favorite for him, so the IP auto found a good home there. And he was able to indulge his taste for shiny things and the Topps 80s retro inserts.

Having consulted with mmbtvs, as well as replacing what we took I took out about 150 cards that didn't seem to be quite in line with the spirit of the box and replaced them, mainly with a selection of rookie and pre-rookie cards from the last 10 or so years, leavened by some numbered, a few autos and game used (including one I hope will be particularly appealing to WizardofOz1982's son), and some pre-rookie/rookie/early year cards of some Hall of Famers and some near Hall of Famers. I also put in about a dozen Opening Day packs from last year I had lying around, in that hope that these might literally get left for the kids

p.s. Glad to see the soccer stuff we put in last time we had the box find a good home with cardtrader22. Funny story behind that - we pulled it from the free bin at our LCS in 2018 when my son first started collecting and wasn't sure what he was into. Since he is a soccer player it seemed worth taking. He never took to soccer but rather to our surprise those turned out to be decent cards that go for a few dollars each so we put them in the box. Even more to our surprise, the Thomas Muller parallel he found in the bin at the same time turned out to be a $50 card.

Love reading the stories and seeing what people pull out - so funny that I was able to grab the four soccer cards that were in there from the last time you had the box and your son grabbed quite a few of the cards I put it this time.

My son and I have had a blast with this and so happy to see it continuing. Thanks to Corbin and dashcol for keeping this moving the way it has!

Connor and I got the box today and had a chance to go through it. It's getting kind of slim but I've got a 300 count box sitting here that should go a long way to fixing that.

Connor loved the targeted addition of the Piscotty Auto from Dalston and he also snagged the Suspended Animation cels so thank you to whoever put them in. He's been getting into comic book/animation stuff lately.

I found a few RCs and some Cardinals stuff that tickled my fancy. I've also been thinking about buying and starting the '51 Minis set so seeing Series 1 of it in the box was a treat. The Browns window cling is for my delusional dad who still thinks they've got a chance at the Super Bowl. The Kobayashi is for a collector in a Facebook group who posted he needed it. Now if I can just remember which one lol.

Not sure who the box is supposed to go to next. Do we have a list?

Glad Connor liked the auto and also that you snagged five or so of my other additions. Thank you for adding generously to the box - that's going to be a huge help in continuing this great tradition.

I must confess I just saw you wanted it and didn't look to see if there were other claims upthread, but if no-one claims it after this bump from the last few pages it appears that there are a few people you could DM that said they wanted in the last couple of pages including eastbayak, diamondbacksfanforlife, and YouFold2Me, andGoCubsGo32

It's cool to see some of the cards I added to the box months ago continue to be picked over time.

Although I already got the box before (and haven't asked for it since), I don't mind getting it again. I have some cards to add so it works out. Heck, I might even find some cards for that tickle my fancy haha.

Wizards, feel free to PM me if you want to send my way.

Took me a couple extra days due to having to work extra shifts but the box is rebuilt as best I can. I upgraded it from the medium flat rate box to a large flat rate and filled the extra space.

It's headed to eastbayak as soon as I get his address.

I would be interested in being next! Haven't done one of these in years (before I had kids). Should be fun to go thru with my kids. It's really impressive that you guys have been keeping this going for one year already!
