It's amazing how rare it is for something to TRULY disappear...it is certainly happens, but it seems like 99.9999% of the time it gets to its destination eventually...glad this story had a positive result!

That is incredible and great news! Curious if the label was put on by you or a Fedex employee? I always use shipping tape to tape down my own labels (over address part, not barcodes) to make extra sure that the address part at least stays in tact. And it has always scared me how haphazardly some shipping employees quickly stick labels on.

-Should have insured it for more
-Guaranteed stolen Nope to both, should have used more tape. Good to see a positive ending.

Use a fine point sharpie to write the shipping and return addresses directly on the back and/or side of the package even when there's a printed address label.
And good idea to also include an invoice with the addresses like OP did. |

I put the label on myself. The label for international is a clear plastic adhesive pouch in which the customs and shipping labels go inside this pouch. They require you to leave it open (Just a plastic flap covers the opening) so the customs can take the portion pertaining to them. It's a terrible way of doing things. The slips can fall out or someone can take them out thus leaving it with no information.
I'm just glad I had that packing slip inside with my phone number. (This is something I normally wouldn't do but because it was going to PWCC, the slip you have to include has this info on it.). I will include a packing slip with all future higher end cards sent anywhere, from any carrier. Quote:
