Default Beautifully Horrendous Autographs

Autographed cards come in all shapes and sizes. Some autos are absolutely gorgeous and others are utterly horrendous, with that being said I can see the beauty in an ugly duckling. One of the most beautifully horrendous autos ever is this year’s 2021 Bowman Gabe Holt. Now either he does not know how to write his name in cursive or he is a marketing genius. I'm going to be honest, I had no clue who Gabe Holt was until I saw how bad his signature is, which makes me think that there is no such thing as bad publicity.
So I am going to tip my cap to Gabe Holt. In an industry where autographs are a commodity, he made his stand out (good or bad). That is why I think Gabe Holt will go down in Hobby folklore because thirty years from now some kid is going to rip open a vintage 2021 Bowman box and laugh out loud when he or she pulls the legendary Gabe Holt autograph card.
Post some of your favorite/hilarious autographs that you guys collect below. I would love to see more ridiculously awesome signatures.

Counterpoint - in 30 years there will be no more use of cursive, any "signatures" will be retinal or fingerprint verification and the only writing kids will know will be block letters.

Gabe will be known as a pioneer ahead of his time!

I think this counts. Beautiful auto and he is very consistent with it, but I can't seem to find the D or the U o S or T or IN MAY for that matter. Maybe we have a Y at the end....but IDK.

Yeah. It at least seems he took his time to write it. I think I prefer that over just scribble.

More and more schools are going away from teaching cursive, so I'd expect to see more signatures start to look like this. That and more initials.

Even further, there is very little writing done at all. My school is a 1:1 iPad school and every assignment is on Canvas. Students look at you like you're speaking Mandarin when you ask them to get a pen out.

I've always loved Drew Storen's autograph. Completely illegible, but absolutely beautiful and a work of art.

I believe it. It's not like learning to write will ever go away, but you can see that people are less comfortable with it. Looking at Holt's auto in the OP, some of looks shaky. Like the G, it almost looks like he had to think about it while he was writing it.

As cursive phases out completely and guys are doing less and less writing, could there be a shift in the card market? Would more and more players signing like Holt lead to less demand for auto cards?

Definitive a fan of Gabe now, thanks

Harold Baines is an artiste. So I sold this card for $5, then, _something_ happened. Maybe it’s my fault. Sorry, small Hall peeps.

I can appreciate Zion Williamson's auto. And can happily say I saw quite a few in person from boxes.

In all honesty I could never purchase an auto. where I would have to explain to someone the name/spelling.
