Yes, ridiculous... You'd think that the absurdly small size just might be a "red flag" to those rocket scientists at PSA. Really makes you believe that it's fraud/corruption vs. incompetence. Nobody is that blind.

1967 Topps hockey cards are commonly larger than normal. Lots of trimming has been done in this set.

Information like this should be readily available, along with the fact that card doctors are more likely to target these cards.

I could publish a list of typical sizes and frequent size variations for all vintage cards across all the different sports but it would just provide a clearer roadmap for card molesters. I'd rather wait until the FBI investigation is completed.

The UR and LR corners on the Henri Richard RC were also sharpened, probably through micro-trimming. That card, btw, is now quite valuable in a PSA 8.5 -- probably about 20k. Many BO members reading this thread may not realize that. It's one of the most popular rookie cards of the 1950s.

Edited to add: someone would have to be an idiot to ruin a well-centered "8" like that.

That 1971-72 OPC Plager is comical....like there could ever be that type of rough cut on the top edge and a perfectly smooth cut like that on the bottom edge.

Rich Katz and co. were complete set-registry phonies. I think that's why Joe Orlando loved them so much, gave them awards, and graciously graded all of their trimmed cards. So good to see Orlando gone and Sloan relocated. Talk about layer upon layer of corruption.

The trimming aside, that UL corner on the PSA 10 Berenson is really worked over: pressed, reshaped...etc. Not even close to gem mint condition.

Not surprised that many of these recent cards were certified by PSA after the trimming scandal broke in April/May 2019 with that '52 Mantle from Astrotrevor.

They were also all sold by PWCC after it was known that almost all of Katz and Co. altered cards were dumped on the market via PWCC.

Remember, Scot Maxwell was a former PSA grader and Katz and Co. headquarters were a 15 minute drive from PSA headquarters.
It would be interesting to see who the grader was for Katz and Co. submissions.

These were additional PSA 10's from the same submission that I either could not find a before sale of or I could find a sale but the images were too poor a quality to use as proof.

#44293684 - sold for $366.00

#44293686 - no record of sale

#44293687 - sold for $426.00

#44293690 - sold for $331.89

#44293698 - sold for $363.89

#44293701 - sold for $2,938.88 (could not find prior purchase)

I see lots of chopped edges on those Parkhursts. It's not hard to see...except if you were a PSA grader.
