Default 1952 Topps Mantle Show Off

Nearly 40 years of collecting and I finally bought the card I’ve always wanted!
Great looking card I think, centered fairly well but some minor paper loss on the front and back. I’m very pleased with the way it presents though!

I prefer the SGC slabs and by far the best grading company to deal with, in my opinion.

Congrats!!!

It's the only Mickey Mantle card I have never had a chance to own.

Very cool.

Congrats to you! A card I will never own but always admire.

Thanks guys, I appreciate it!

I think it was about 10 years ago I was going back and forth about buying one for $3,500 and didn’t but we all have those stories!

I have the exact same story, I spent every afternoon after my summer internship hounding eBay for a 52 Mantle but I never bid enough to actually win. Ended up losing interest when it was time to go back to college. They were, as you said, a few thousand dollars at the time since it was shortly after the Housing Crisis.

I ended up buying my own a decade later for 5 times the price.
