Not to the extent of last year, but could we see him spike in preseason? Or did he lose his luster?

He started coming back to MVP form at the end of last year and they have added some decent weapons in the offseason.
I think he's undervalued to some degree. I would like to see how his arm progresses this season

Man... last Aug his Prizm base PSA 10 was going for over $3k.

People were paying for he and Kyler like they were trying to get in on the next Mahomes before he took off.

I think he'd have to really have another MVP year to see a huge takeoff from here. He'd have to convince people that he's capable of winning a super bowl.

Right now, it seems like the ranking of 'heirs to the throne' goes:

-Herbert
-Josh Allen
-Burrow
-Lamar

With Lawrence in tow.

Good news for Jackson prices, however, is that Watson has dropped from this list.

He is a former MVP on a team that could win the AFC this year. Not sure if all of his cards are undervalued but there are definitely steals to be had and potential big profits to be made on some of his stuff.

I think that this year Mahomes, Baker, Josh Allen and Lamar Jackson are going to be the kings of the AFC (Herbert sophomore slump stats wise). Card wise it would just be a matter of Baker/Lamar getting back to the levels at which they once peaked at. Might be tough but let's be honest. If you got in early on ANY of these guys in 2017/2018 the profit margins are absolutely wild regardless if they aren't at the peak of what they were once valued at.

the thing is once u lose the hobby "trust" (cards go up way too fast and drop faster) due to performance its hard to get back with so much momentum against u

hes going to have to ball tf out and get past mahomes if we ever see his prices get back to where they were

I need more than arm progression. I would like to see him win a big game.

No way he is undervalued.

The hobby is on the verge of moving on if he doesn’t have a breakout year in terms of success.

Long term maybe but his stuff is definitely trending up. A month ago I bought 2 Select Concourse rookies and a Score rookie for like $60 and at the time I'd say I overpaid a tad. Now Select Concourse RCs go for like $40 a piece.

I think he is a very solid short term buy.

Lamar is looking like a more complete player this year. Hard to not be impressed with his play in the second half last week.

Wrong… Roman the offensive coordinator doesn’t figure out how to utilize Lamar and his offense! One specific play - 3rd and 17; why did Roman tell Lamar to flick the ball to Bell? Multiple bubble screens??? No adjustments against the blitz???

That was bizarre!

Lamar is who he is.

You saw it last night and have seen it all year. When the run game is working the offense runs well. He can hit players streaking deep or sitting in zones. If the run game gets clogged up, he gets frustrated and tries to make things happen with his arm.

He is not that type of QB. He makes it happen with his legs and keep defenses honest with his arm. Miami played a ton of man last night and won the battle at the line of scrimmage. That’s worst case scenario for Lamar and this offense.

I was telling my co-worker this morning that the way the Dolphins were defending him was the strangest thing I've seen recently. They eventually settled into a 7-man front and had their 4 pass defenders create a soccer-style backline, set 6-8 yards off the line of scrimmage. They were just daring L. Jack to be a quick-out throwing pocket passer and he couldn't do it. It was brilliant.

For sure! It was the 1985 Patriots Super Bowl Defense.

Put 4 in the box, to stop Payton. If that doesn't work, stack 5. Then 6. Then 7. Sooner or later, you stop him. Works great, if your QB cant read and throw quick enough against that front.
