Doesn’t take but a handful of possessions to take that to a single digit lead in today’s NBA.

We’ll see how the season goes but this team has something special
Mobley is 20.
Garland is 21.
Okoro is 20.
Allen is 23.

A team this young isn't supposed to be winning games. I know that most people here only look at scoring to decide who is playing well and who isn't, but a number of these guys are scoring efficiently, just don't have the high usages that will get them at the top of the league leader boards.

Taking a look at the team's 3 highest healthy scorers:

eFG%:
Garland 59.0%
Allen 69.8%
Mobley 55.2%

To put that in perspective,

Trae: 49.0%
Luka: 49.6%
Mitchell: 51.5%
Morant: 52.9%
Giannis: 53.0%
Lebron: 53.7%
Curry: 58.4%
Jokic: 63.7%
Durant: 64.2%

(on a side note, that Durant % is silly considering he's putting up 29 a game).

Either way, the point is that these guys are getting it done with well rounded, efficient scoring, as well as defense.

Even in old NBA, we’ve seen teams pull off unbelievable comebacks.

Houston down 10 against Spurs with less than a min left.

6 minutes is A LOT of time, especially with all the 3s teams shoot now.

It’s still WAAAAAAAY too soon into the season to make any type of meaningful statement.

They should be under .500 by December 7th because they start playing teams that are objectively better than them.

It’s just as likely that the Hawks are still better and have just had an early murderers row schedule.

Give it 50 games so everybody can play everybody and then we can see where Cleveland is at.

Watching this team is fun. Rubio is also a nice addition that is really helping Garland learn. They move the ball a lot, create lanes for Allen and Mobley.

Sexton is on his way out (thank god). He throws everyone out of position with his frantic movements (He has no tempo) on the floor. Its no surprise this team is on a roll without him on the floor.

Cedi is also really playing better with the cleaner tempo as well.

A... I was just giving my reasons why it could be sustainable...

B. Grizzles, Hawnks, Nuggets, Clippers, Lakers (with LeBron), Suns, Wizards, isn't an easy schedule they've seen so far. But you have a point... tough stretch coming up. Just all part of a tough month and a half of the season. Eventually that evens out.

A lot of season to go so yea, it could all come apart... but I like what I'm seeing so far.

*FWIW: I just looked it up, and the Cavs have had the 6th toughest SOS thus far.

Warriors left California.

So it begins.

Would like to see him get more involved in the offense, especially until Collins comes back to life. Big W.

Was sick all weekend, so I splurged and bought League Pass.

The Warriors game last night was weird. They could have won at anytime it seemed, but they kept choosing to shoot 3s. I think they finished 9-39 or something stupid like that from 3.

KD is one of the most enjoyable shooters to watch, all time for me. But, I don't think DeMar DeRozan gets much love for his mid-range shooting. He's excellent at the mid-range and while analytics says it isn't a good shot, I love watching him shoot.

Very impressive debut from THT. Another shot creator, rangy D, ball sniffer.

The vision of the Lakers roster is almost clear, waiting on Nunn. I'm liking what I see... Looking for Bron to return and perhaps a 2 Quart of the season win streak. I think they should give Melo (he's been workin') a game rest real soon though, DNP 37

PS. the Lakers don't have a problem with buzzword 'spacing'. That early season critique was really bad

The thing is they've been beating teams that are objectively better than them and have had multiple double digit 3rd/4th Q comebacks.

Mobley is the centerpiece to a borderline elite defense.

Offensively not great but good enough to win games.

You're probably right but man this team finally is rid of distractions and is building towards something pretty great.

De'Andre Hunter will undergo surgery on a right wrist and will miss approximately two months.

Hunter is in his third NBA season and is averaging 10.8 points and 2.7 rebounds this season.

Hunter was limited to just 23 games during the 20-21 regular season due to a knee injury.

8 out of their first 11 games were on the road so at least this upcoming tough stretch is mostly at home except for one quick road game in Brooklyn. Cavs gotta get healthy though. Love, Markannen, Stephens, and Allen all out tonight. That's four rotation players. Gonna fall on Mobley's shoulders and he'll probably need to go 40 minutes. If he gets in foul trouble it could be Tacko Monday in Cleveland which isn't a good thing if he has to play meaningful minutes.

Hawks on their 4th b2b already, most of them traveling too - schedule gets much easier from here...

Boi makes Zion look like Cal Ripken.

Should have seen the warning signs when I saw the odd pronation in his signing stance at the Panini rookie premier shoot.

I kept wondering why the Dubs didn’t attempt to drive to the rim in the final mins. Especially after clanking so many 3s but I guess Dubs live and die by the 3.

On a bright note, they kept it close despite missing 30 3s.
