Looks like Value Modern has been stuck, I have a value modern order from 11/20 and value ultra moder from 12/20 that are going to end up being completed at the same time.. been expecting my order that arrived over a year ago to be in assembly by now

Yep Im guesstimating that we are looking at around 13-14 month turnaround time for Value Modern.

Judging by how many Tom Brady (well, anything) has been showing up on eBay in slabs, it would seem that they've struck the point in time where people just started sending in base/commons/anything by the thousands. My searches are ridiculous, the last couple weeks, with PSA slabs of Brady stuff that shouldn't be in slabs.

Of course look at all the lebron 2019-2021 stuff that’s graded.
It’s a card get it graded. Who cares what it’s worth raw ; .25 or $30000.
This is why grading has been dumb.
It’s not always instant money

Ah, nvm I found it. It says 100+ business. wow...

I just had a pack graded finish. It was the regular service i think, ($50) sent back the first week of March 2020. I was shipped last week, and i got it Monday. I had to send it back because they got white paint inside the case...

@xtnimot thanks for tracking, it looks like we're almost through Jan and I'm going to be real interested in how far into Feb they are once Jan is closed out. Once we have that, do we have enough data to estimate how long it's taking them to burn through a month's worth of backlog? I think the last stuff was sent in end of March and all checked in by May? June?

Yeah def interesting. Have an 87 card UM bulk that was entered 2/19 and it’s still in grading and has been for months. So I’m sure the backlog is enormous

With this recent logjam in assembly, and the fact that they're still managing to kick out about 175k cards a week, I'm wondering if the thing holding them back from more output now is just a lack of assembly equipment. If that's the case then there's hope for another dramatic increase in output some time in the next month or so (since I'm assuming getting more sonic sealers is easier than getting more graders).

There's alot of talk/rumors that they are having issues getting their acrylic/plastic for their slabs and that's heats holding up assembly. Dont know how true that is, but makes sense.

I thought about that, but the fact that they're still doing 175k a week suggests that they still have as much plastic on-hand as they did five months ago. So the assembly logjam must have some other explanation.
