Default Bad seller alniter1272

I only needed Jetwr to complete a set of 1997 Donruss Studio 8x10’s as I got almost the whole set in a charity auction last month. I located a Jeter, and even though the shipping was awful, I bought it. The seller ‘alniter1272’ put the 8x10 card in on of those soft three ring binder sleeves and an 8x10 padded envelope. No cardboard to stiffen it, no 8x10 top loader like the Frank Thomas I bought came in, nothing to protect it! I filed a claim with eBay and the first response from the seller is “I don’t take returns, file a claim with the carrier”. Are you kidding me? It will be a $10 return total! Horrible response by the seller! My goal when selling and shipping is to package and ship the card like it’s the last card your customer needs for his set, which in this case for me, IT WAS! Stay away from ‘alniter1272’!

Oh he takes returns, he just might not know it. It is your responsibility to make sure he knows he takes returns.

LOL, now the seller says it is the buyers responsibility to tell him how to ship the item! I have told him in 20+ years on eBay I have NEVER told a seller how to ship the item. All of the sellers I have gotten cards from before know how to properly pack and ship the cards. This seller was just being lazy.

I package my cards as if it is the most
Important card my buyer is expecting.

start a claim on ebay.

he takes returns, he just doesn't want to think he does.

Oh I have. Some of the stuff he/she replied to me were unbelievable. Did you know the buyer is responsible for telling the selling how to pack and ship the purchase? Me neither! I’ve never told a seller how to ship an item! I’ve never had an item arrive so badly under protected!

Honestly if I was the seller and something like this happened, I would just refund the amount and not worry about the return (why go through hassle to get back a bent 8x10 card that is essentially worthelss?).

This will be a learning experience for the seller. If they didnt already know (and apparently they dont), ebay doesnt allow the buyer to get stuck with a damaged item and the seller just places blame on USPS, doesnt work like that. They will learn that you need to adequately protect items during shipping, and getting the item to the buyer safely is their responsibility.

My two cents: it's not worth this whole back and forth arguing with the seller in this situation, nothing will come out of it. You file the claim, ebay will side with you if the seller didnt already refund, and that's that. Heated discussion on ebay just isnt worth it or productive for something like this.
