Interesting - I can do about 80-100/hr WITHOUT a scanner like that (Using pages), any issues with thicker cards?
I can do 150 listings per hour start to finish. The 200 per day is what I am averaging because pulling cards together to list slows me down.

I have a few cards that I really cannot get a clean picture of with no reflection. If I ever sell them I'd want to get some HQ scans. Also being able to scan a bunch at once is nice.

I do have to say some cards look much better when photo’d with natural light hitting them. Like rainbow foil or base refractor or Transcendent base cards. The V600 doesn’t show the reflective surface, and leads to a dull look

See top right vs. hand held

Ya nice refractors and foils don't show up as well in a scan as they do in a picture. But it is so much easier to set up the scanner and bust out 30 scans than it is to set up the Lightbox and make a million adjustments, take 30 pics, edit the light out of 30 pics, then tear down and store the Lightbox. Sometimes it's worth it. Sometimes it's not.

To kill the reflection get a black paperboard. Cut a hole in it for your phone lens and use that. If you angle it right you'll be able to get rid of reflections, and with the black board you won't see the reflection of the phone or your hands.

These are the ones that I used. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00K257W0O/

What is wrong with that 80 Topps Rickey Henderson? It presents much better than a 7 from the scan.

Good question. That is why I bought it. There are some issues, but I think a 7 was a bit harsh.

lol I meant no harm in it. your scans will look 1000000x better with the lid up. smart choice on the V600, it takes great scans. it will revitalize how you scan, curate and organize your collection.

took me awhile to rescan everything when I got my v370, but now they are all folder organized and have 600 dpi front and back scans. its great for raw and graded. if scanning raw, I find the original pro-mold magnetics to have the most optical clarity.

You have a good start and I agree with the feedback. Feel free to look at my scanning guide in my signature for some tips or the whole process.

Thanks!

I'll sometimes use a BGS slab on it's edge to evenly space a holder from the edge. PSA slabs work too, but the thicker BGS holder with it's square corners worked better.

You can scan lid-up even in a lit room (don't have to turn the lights off) and it'll produce the dark background.

I like that process. Same I use in my guide right down to the BGS slab. Great minds think alike.

Question for the scanning crowd...is it possible to scan the front and the back of the card...then put the images side by side to make one image but square the image for Instagram...w/out losing any of the slab in the image squaring process? Make sense?

I don't know about the IG part since I'm not on there but I use GIMP for all my editing, including photo combinations. A little clunky at first but I can edit front and back scans and combine the scans in about 2-3 minutes.

Don't have a profile setup, but I had the same problem with top loaders. Scanning them sideways works much better for me. Zero success with penny sleeves, though.
