Jordan sales right now are close to legit prices in the $240-280k range. Hate that so many people got hoodwinked back in January-March with the pumpers at $500-600k.

I looked at that card. It looks more like an 8.5 or a 9. I imagine many other people thought the same. Some cards are horribly undera-graded. Some cards are horribly over-graded. If only the grading companies could be more consistent, but it’s really all over the place.

This is the 2nd big altered card that’s come into his possession that I know of. Wouldn’t be surprised if there are more with the way he downplays altered cards on the Sports Cards Live podcast. I’ve noticed this with a lot of big time collectors, where the card is so big, important or iconic that it somehow minimizes the trimming, or corner restoration, or car wax that just buffed out those pesky modern surface scratches. It’s odd because they’ll be sure to also stress provenance. Well alrighty.

Someone asked about employees being allowed to bid on PWCC auctions and Erik stumbled a little with the question but did say he wasn't approved for bidding.

Also mentioned that customers and friends occasionally reach out to see if he wants to buy their recent PWCC auction winnings. If he didn't win the auction, that's possibly how he ended up with the Jordan.

It was only after that question did I ask my own. At 32 minutes in you can see my initial question in the chat box (DrewTangNYC), he never pulled it from chat to display/answer. Then at 44:50 he pulls my last attempt for display. You'd think Erik would at least explain if it was a customer purchase soon after their auction win.

Even without bidding, it's not a good look for employees to end up with PWCC auction wins, right after an auction ends.

Right, it’s weird optics regardless. Couldn’t care less about the ban, was just surprised. I haven’t seen most of the shows, just enough to know that the host normally doesn’t shy away from even uncomfortable stuff.

Do you have proof that Erik bid on one of PWCC's items? Honestly it seems like you deserved to get banned, at least pending you prove your accusation. If what you said was not 100% factual it is completely out of line and disruptive. You were calling them out.

I don't see this at all... All I see is him blocking you for taking shots at PWCC and Erik, one he thought was totally unfair and not true per Eriks response.

Good on him for actually fielding your shots fired. If you had just simply asked whether or not Erik had bid on a PWCC item or not and not concluded in your statement that "basically the PWCC employee policy is just fluff", you probably don't get banned.

If it's not appearing in the chat replay box it's prob only displaying on my end since I'm banned. I remembered him discussing buying '86 fleers in a previous show. You can call it disruptive, but I only brought this up after someone asked about company policy. I don't think it was out of line when you consider Erik was posting the same card that was in a pwcc auction. If it's the case he just bought it immediately from the winner, it still seems weird.

If the card was from a recent PWCC auction and he now owns it, that stinks to high hell. I dont care how anybody wants to spin that.
