No movement on my oldest orders. A 2/12 TCG and 3/9 modern sports in grading. Would think both of those should hit Assembly this week.

Don’t count on it. I don’t think they’ve been working full staff since Wednesday. My Express that arrived Thursday morning still hasn’t been entered.

Bulk that popped 10-12 days ago finally shipped yesterday after plenty of time in "complete" stage.

I have an order that arrived at PSA the same day as yours, but didn't go into research until April 26th, that is not even in grading yet. So much for FIFO!

Maybe they are short staffed in the shipping dept.

They literally just grab a box and go - based off of everything I’ve followed in this thread the last year!

I believe the main reason for the hold up in QA2 is that PSA has began imaging EVERY card they grade (front AND back). Their website explaining securescan currently still states they image cards that are graded from Regular service or higher, but Turner revealed in a 10/29 interview that they now image every card they grade BEFORE and after grading so that those who participate in the registry will see those images (I also speculate this is part of their preparation for the "vault" service he also mentioned as a future thing PSA will expand to). I think they image BEFORE grading for various reason, including so that they can have visual proof before a card goes into a grader's hand as well as the person doing the encapsulation so that they can see whether a damaged card was indeed damaged by PSA staff or not. That's four images they take of every card going through them.

Being stuck in Q2 is understandable, but stuck in assembly for 6-8 weeks makes no sense.

It would seem the assembly process, which I gather the primary thing happening there is putting the card label in, carefully putting in the card and then using the encapsulating machine to sonic weld the case together "should" be pretty quick. But we have no clue how much time it takes to complete one card...but we do know they are getting 40,000 cards through assembly, a visual examination of the card weld plus the label/card to see if they match, 3rd/4th scans and shipped out every single day. A lot of things has to happen every single day to get 40k cards out the door. I know we all want our cards back sooner than later...it's just going to take more patience for this final backlog that is there. After we get through this, the entire grading process will be very different than how it was and is.

OMG really?

I don't get how some people have theirs from assembly to Q2 in around 2 weeks.

These are the same bulk orders that had been submitted December 2020.

Non-standard holder + Supply chain issues is likely the culprit with your bulk order.... If not, its a newbie who struck a card during encapsulation and it pushed the order to the side.

Sending a card in for review today.
Now that they no longer have minimum grades upon request the thought crossed my mind that they could downgrade upon review and switch it to a lower grade.
There's no chance of that happening right?

I put MG 9 for the 2012 and 10 for the 2013. The 2013 looks flawless to me. No issues with the sleeve either. I think it crosses. The only problem with the 2012 is a small dimple to the right of the ball. I don’t know how PSA will treat that. BGS giving it an 8.5 initially and on review always pissed me off because I have had cards with much larger dimples get 9.5 and 10 for surface.

My package to PSA was refused, citing damage.

Has anyone ever had this happened? Fedex is returning it to me. I wrapped my cards twice in a bubblemailer and put them in a box. I'm assuming the box was crushed so PSA didn't want to chance it? Anyone have similar experience?
