Wow ebay is incredibly shady. Literally have to go to My Ebay>Account>Feedback, then type in the person's account to find the item there to even see the option to.

Interesting article and comparisons to Brady/MJ markets. I believe Tiger's good ones are tremendously undervalued. Not that I am worried about it because my PC is not moving, just a interesting market to say the least. Im just glad Tiger is playing golf again! Cant wait for this next year!

Hi everyone!

Long time follower here but first time poster. I have been collecting tiger cards since 1996 when I got the SI for kids card at age 10. I would later sell it on ebay as a teenager and finally just bought one back. That felt good!

I have seen a lot come up for sale and trade hands, but I have NEVER seen this "blue ink" version until now of Tiger's rookie. Does anyone know how rare these ones are?

Another first time poster (thank you sportsguy247 for the inspiration to post!) - just got back into the hobby last summer after being away from it for about 20 years, all before getting into golf because of Tiger.

Sharing my personal Tiger gem that had extra meaning for me as I attended the third round of the '08 US Open and had a front row view of Tiger on the 16th hole, right before his chip in on 17 and eagle on 18 - the roar just echoed for miles!

Thank you to all for posting all the cool cards to dream about!

If I remember correctly they are a printing error and are limited or SP'd. Not a lot of information about it.

Have seen a handful over the years but not many. Neat variation of the 2001 UD #1 RC if you ask me.

This is one of a handful of the uber-rare Blue Tiger UD rookies in existence. Great find. I have one PSA 10 that I found already graded years ago, but it does not have a special variation label.

My guess from looking at thousands of #1's over 20 years is that the blue version occurs a tiny fraction of a percent of the total print run.

The color blue is so attractive and unique that I don't think it is from a printing error. If it was, other cards from the set created on the same sheet would have been discovered, and to my knowledge, the blue variation is only found on the Woods card.

I could write a whole description as to why I think it's iconic, but I'll save my breath and let the card shine.

I don't think it's a printing error necessarily. Feels more like when they first turned the ink jets on and had to adjust the color.

I actually emailed UD last week to inquire. Haven't gotten an answer yet but cs rep was very quick to respond and said he'd look into it. Said for how old it is to not get my hopes up on a definitive answer but figure if we ever find out, it'll be from him. Cmon Mike!!

I just can’t believe that I was able to win this card on eBay for only $112+tax. Can you imagine if this was MJ, LeBron, or Brady? I’m really looking to grow the golf PC in 2022.
