that’s a good part of it, that’s $40 a blaster US. Stuff sits at Meijer awhile at those prices as well. Blasters are gonna be $28.50 at target after red card discount.

Also at a different store guy returned from his basket Illusions NBA blasters and Flux Blasters.

Guess there was no money to be made on the flip. Chronicles Mega box left on shelf as well.

Caught the Walmart restock this evening. About a dozen Mosaic blasters, which the stocker tried to hide behind two old Topps Update blasters (this Walmart has cards behind the express checkout lane). About a dozen NFL Illusions blasters. Some of the new Wild Card Alumination hangers. Nothing else notable. No 2021-22 NBA Hoops.

I thought you can't return cards at Wal-Mart? I bought a blaster of Mosaic baseball one day and looked at the receipt going out, it rang up as $40. Turned around to return it and then said no. That's what happens when you scan cards with groceries!

They always make sure to tell me when i buy in store all sales are final but you can return online purchases.

Sorry for the confusion. I was at the shelf looking at cards in a store (not WM) and the guy returned the cards from the basket he was carrying them in. He never purchased. No flip money in it.

No Gallery @ my Meijers this year, or at least not yet. They typically get most WalMart exclusives. But makes sense, this year, because there wouldn’t be anywhere a new sports card product could fit on the shelves.

It will be interesting to see which products finally get removed, OR deep discounted in place on the shelves. 2022 S1 due in just a month or so.

Also interesting will be whether Meijers even brings back the MJ reps at all. My store, at least, was just stocking the cards themselves for a long time as there was no need for a corruptible rep when entire weekly shipments simply sold out in 20 minutes anyway. And I guess it would be an open question if retail vendor rep jobs can even be filled well in a super tight labor market.

Well that is a good point and good question. I can only be of partial help though. Panini Prizm Baseball is a $40 blaster @ Meijers but I presumed that was largely a Panini price increase. I don’t even notice the prices of most Panini cards because I never buy any. Topps Chrome Baseball blasters were $35, iirc.

Ordinary Topps Baseball @ Meijers has increased in price only slightly. Update Blasters are $25. I think hanger boxes are $12 now. Single packs are the same $3.50 as for several years now, though w/o purples in 21 Update.

Well my store finally did squeeze the Gallery blasters on to the shelves. Bowman Platinum and Prism Baseball tenaciously held on to their spots, too. Maybe the devouring of every kind of football card that briefly appears gives all these baseball products room to sneak in there and then never leave.

The Gallery blaster itself was more enjoyable than not. The PRINTER PROOF parallels are just stupid but the rest of the cards were basically nice. Not much artwork in the product this year though my man Josh Trout does do one of the inserts. And there is another old school creative artsy insert too (“Next Wave” - player photo based); after a year of reprinting every Topps design ever, the one I pulled was nice to see. Whatever filter they used on the photographs slowly draws you in to its crispness. The Jackie Robinson card was particularly nice.

And the hits man, yeah, did I hit anything? The blaster of 28 cards coughed up a /75 parallel and a /50 RC auto of Miami’s Trevor Rogers. Just a sticker, but at least “Trev” has a cool autograph to contemplate. Not a bad bit of baseball carding there, I think I will try another one of these on my next grocery run. I would like to get a regular copy of the probably-will-be-few Max Scherzer cards in a Dodgers uniform, one without the glaring PRINTER PROOF stamp on it.

As Meijer is a smaller chain(and mostly regional), they may pay MORE for the same product.

Roll out of stock similar to last week. Based on what I saw in 2020 and 2021 there is less product hitting my WM shelves the end of last year and this year.

No more three tray drops of various product for 2-3 weeks anymore. I am seeing a tray of hangers and cellos and maybe a case of blasters and then a sparse restock if at all.

Anyone seeing the same thing?

Also on tap for the month was supposedly Playoff and Mosaic FB, Hoops and Donruss BKB. Not much of the month left for these to drop though.

figured Mosaic FB maybe next week, a little surprising no Hoops blasters/fat packs. im assuming once bunch of stuff got pushed back, this impacted some of retail releases as well. and donruss BKB hobby doesnt even drop for 3 more weeks, so probably no retail of that for atleast another month

Langhorne PA had a ton of Mossaic blasters today, grabbed two before lunch and two after. 29.99, though I always use my discount so under 30 with tax.
