There also aren’t any MM2016 plates on COMC now. I wonder how much this bad boy would go for today?

A lot. ha

That's gotta be one of the coolest looking plates in the set, super nice!

That would be great. As for full-line sets, with the assumption Jusko wouldnt be doing another, my wish has been if any of those other 90s MM artists returned also, from Hildebrandt to the Dare to Compare 95 artists to Boris and Julie. Another of my favs: Bob Larkin, and would be great for a MM set. Yea yea probably not gonna happen, but one can wish!

Default Marvel Cards are going crazy.

Since this is the Marvel thread, thought this was interesting. Saw a video recently of someone pulling a 1995 masterpieces mirage (not me or my video), the only time I recall seeing one pulled. Skip to 39:00.

I've opened way more of these packs than I should have in hopes of pulling one (never have....once!). And it's not in general a good idea to open 1995 MM packs, overwhelming chance the pack is worth more than the contents. I had to resort to buying the mirages, awhile ago thankfully. One of these days I want to actually pull one. The video is killing me because the person opening it doesnt seem to realize what it is. What a great pull though.

To put in perspective, they are 1:360 packs, one of the rarest 90s marvel inserts, and the box he opened had only a 1 in 10 chance of containing a mirage.

Fabulous! I absolutely love printing plates, even though in the sports world they don't get a ton of big $ love, I think they are long term sleeping giants... especially of iconic characters or RCs. Awesome to see that plate!

I think printing plates of comic characters can really pop. The sports plates and movie set plates of living people can’t really compete in appearance. And I agree many nonsports printing plates are definitely sleeping giants. They are already starting to creep up in price for the more recent sets. The older stuff … like the Jusko plates are all locked up in private collections for the most part.

Right on. I noticed the really rare stuff from the Jusko 2016 MM seems to be locked up in collections for the most part- particularly that set because of its status. Talking mainly about the autos, plates, and red spectrums. There’s just no feasible way to complete a buyback auto set for example- forget the money needed, which would be ridiculous, but just seeing many of these cards on the market at all. People definitely like to collect and hold this set!

There was a single seller dump of lots of the 2018 MM plates recently on eBay, but nothing like that for 2016 as far as I can remember.

I’m pretty dang happy that these didn’t sell at the Fall Chicago show. I always felt them to be undervalued but holy smokes

Vibranium was a great looking set! Probably just hit a year or 2 too soon. Maybe UD will revisit.

Wow you're not kidding....$10 for those radiances! Popular characters too

I love the look of the Vibraniums, and they're starting to catch on based on prices- serial numbered parallels, UD made product, look awesome.

Im still hoping some of the Rittenhouse numbered parallels (emerald, ruby, diamond, etc) catch on more, but Rittenhouse doesnt seem to quite get the love UD gets with Marvel cards.

Vibranium seems extremely undervalued. I regret just selling a gem mint radiance card.

What would you price a Vibranium Molten set at?

Almost every card in my molten set looks like it is gem mint. I'm tempted to get them all graded, I bet the average score would be over 9.

Have no idea on value other than what they are listing for on eBay (which is quite high for key characters). I thought molten was the best looking parallel card and the fact that it was pretty common (/299) makes it a solid set for a collector to try to nab.

To give you an idea on how undervalued the set was, look at the selling prices I had marked for the fall.

At full price, you could have bought this whole group for $90…after repricing them to more accurately reflect the market, this same group would cost you around $1,100 and that doesn’t include the Rogue/50 (no recent comps and the only ones listed are at $1,200-ish each.

Default Marvel Cards are going crazy.

I remember buying a complete molten 90 card set for like 200, not even that long ago, maybe like 3 years ago. (Sigh) Sold it off for probably around that price.

I even like the look of the cheap raw unnumbered parallel a lot, they did a good job with this set. Not sure if I like how they made the best parallel, the bar /5s look…kind of odd and maybe I just don’t understand it. The character itself looks like something out of a printing plate on top of the checkered foil background.

The vibraniums are rather “non-condition sensitive” (is that a term lol?). In other words, they don’t get dinged/show wear easily compared to other base card sets, or something like PMGs. You have to really beat one up to get it in bad shape. So I wouldn’t be surprised if the grading pops for this set are skewed high grade.

wow, a yellow plate that looks absolutely amazing! I love it.

I have the red/magenta Iron Man what if plate that is beautiful but can't find a good comp. a black iron man plate from the set showed up on ebay recently for a large amount of money but was taken down a couple of days after showing up.

I have the 2013 Fleer Retro Metal Set. I find it hard to believe these cards are selling for 6$60, $70 $80 and even over $100 each. I had offered this set for sale a couple years ago for as low as $125 for the whole set. Glad no one took me up on it.

Funny, I was going through the Retro breaks on here and put those aside. I didn't realize they were going for a good price.

The FUSM MM0 Metal achievement went for $258 tonight on Ebay.

Does anyone have a guess as to how many were made?

At least 100. 37 unlocked on epack, but I'm sure a bunch are locked like mine.

Probably a perfect storm of a card that is rare but common enough that its obtainable.

Thanks. Yeah that's a number I have heard as well. Almost certainly scarcer than the Bronze PMG but not as much attraction I guess.

How many of the Spider Man achievements for MM2016 do you figure were ever made?

I see about 30 of each on Epack.

My happy closet finds the other day. Also a couple each of the 2 MM2016 Spider Man achievements.
