curious why people aren't stating lebron topps chrome psa 10? getting real close to that 10k price.

That's what I got my eye on as I think with lebron retirement things will pop. and while i don't like lebron you gotta admit hes going to be relevant for a long ass time

think its already priced that hes not winning any more chips

The earliest year, highest quality auto MJ Bulls card you can find.

The '20-21 Nesmith Prizm Black listed for $8,888. Guess taxes would take care of the rest.

Exactly how much are minty Row 0 of HOFers going for these days? Seems like some cards must still be rising.

I like this. You’re looking at low grade even in this price range but these rarely pop up in any grade.

Id probably look at other sports as well. Tiger Woods Auto /900 RC BGS 9 for $10k is a great long term investment

I would look into rarer non-rookie cards of MJ. On-Card Bulls Auto, 90's Serial #'d insert, etc. Those have and will continue to perform very well.

I had exactly this situation recently-- enough extra cash for one 10k card.

I chose Russell PSA 4. Not because it was the best "investment" but because if I only had one $10k card, that is the one I wanted. I consider it one of the Holy Trinity of hoops cards.

And some change left over.

Agreed. But I'd sub KD in for Giannis.

I'd also say go for a nice auto over super high pop graded stuff.

MJ autos are money in the bank. He's never signing with Fanatics, contrary to the hopium krew's optimism. A finite, dwindling supply more than a decade removed from production.

EZ.

1948 Bowman George Mikan
1957 Topps Bill Russell
1961 Fleer Wilt Chamberlain
Whichever you choose you may have enough leftover for a 1970 Topps Pete Maravich.
I only hesitate on the Jordan rookie because there are so many of them although I still want one.

Agreed. Jordan is the goat, but my goodness is that card insanely high pop in sub-9 grades.

I agree with Jordan! If I could’ve bought another one or two, I would have! Below is the only Jordan I own, and got it for 450.00 back in 2015.
I’d say an on card Bulls Jordan auto or a Giannis silver Select PSA 10 with money to spare

It seems the Bird/Magic rookie is a good bet, as you can find those in that price range graded 7 or 8.

Or, if you're looking for an Elgin Baylor rookie card...PSA 9 grade is worth $25,000...and I see Goldin Auctions right now has one in an unopened pack of '61 Fleer cards that is only around $5,000 right now. And with the possibility of pulling a Wilt rookie, or Big O, or the Logo...that seems like a smart investment.
