He said he purposely did a 4 pack so that they would all drop together. Topps sprung it on him that they are now doing 6 packs. Instead of delaying them he told Topps to just go with it.

He also mentioned he has 3 more cards on the way. 2 will drop with a 4 pack from another artist next week and he will have 1 card drop on the last day of the project.

This makes it sound like DJ Skee was trying to do something nice and Topps messed it up.

Maybe. In the same post he mentioned himself being burnt out with the Project. He said Topps canceled 3 straight cards of his (Wander, Bo and a Dodgers World Series or playoff card of some kind)

thats good to hear (not that topps canceled his cards, but that he was not ghosting the project)

i was kind of under the impression that he was throwing a hissy of not getting to use the qr codes anymore.

i was shocked to hear monday that he had more cards coming.

I think a bunch of dudes got pissed in the late summer early fall with approval getting tight on their cards. Especially since it seems like they had to make them in full and then hope the submission goes thru, and then if its a no, all that time was wasted.

Haven't seen anyone mention it, but is anyone collecting the Elvis set Topps is doing this year? I did the Ali set, no interest in Elvis cards though

Here's my take on it:

1) For most if not all cards in this set, there's an amount of time you can get them on the secondary for less than MSRP and even less than the 10 pack MSRP.

2) That window is finite for most if not all cards.

3) Despite more supply, that window is closing already for the earlier cards and the supply's not there.

I understand that people will object to 2 and 3 but for me the debate is how many cards fall into 2.

What’s silly? The fact that he took existing album covers (other people’s designs) and pasted elements from elsewhere in the cyber world into said album covers and said tada I made a card? Lumping him in with Alex Pardee and Lauren Taylor who actually came up with their own ORIGINAL designs is what is silly here.

His groupies certainly are a passionate bunch.
