Agree that it should be an option but unfortunately it's not.

Here are some key points from the eBay FAQ's:

Can I choose not to have my item authenticated?
Not at this time.

So we cannot opt out of this.

Here is the thread on it -
https://www.blowoutforums.com/showthread.php?t=1504340

First item shipped in the thread yesterday shows an expected two week turnaround time. Now imagine when they get down to $250 like they're saying. It will get ugly.

Yea that’s not good.

Selling raw cards on eBay will become much harder when that happens.

Graded cards are not included in the authentication program...yet. The $250 graded was something someone heard will/may come down the road...but it is not official yet.

Ebay announced it will include graded cards over $250 by mid 2022. Sounded pretty official. Of course they can backtrack but that's currently around 40,000 cards a month.

I believe these just popped at PSA. You should cross your toes as well as fingers...From what I can tell, most of the cards I estimated at a 9.5 got 9s, one card got a 3 (I'm pretty sure something strange went on as I sent two of the same card with the same condition, the other got a 10)

I'm in 2021.55 with Rev and I am 1000% with you. It's my last submission before the shut down, with only modern football and a few basketball. My submission before that was .46. Popped 12-2 and all my consignment cards have been posted and sold, yet .55 still sits in assembly. Hell even my Bulk 2021.76 has moved to Grading already.

I expect the Bulk orders to be done when they are done, but this particular order is the slowest Standard I have ever been a part of. None of that is on PC or Josh, I know it isn't their fault, but this is getting a bit rediculous now.

Good and bad news, haha. Nice to see it pop since it’s been stuck in QA2 for a few weeks, but I hope I don’t get destroyed on the grades. All my cards are high pop so I probably won’t be able to tell what grades I got until I get the email from PCSC. I only had 9 cards but since they’re junk wax there is a massive disparity in pricing between a 9 and a 10. If I can get just one gem it will pay for the whole sub, so I’m just hoping they didn’t slap 9s on all of them. I ripped a ton of junk wax when it was super cheap and I was really picky about what I sent in - 99.99% of the cards didn’t make the cut, so I’ll keep my fingers crossed for good luck.

My take this -- as they continue to get more cards to grade at $50 per, that will require more graders to work on those, thus removing those graders from grading the backlog...PSA would rather make $50 a card than $10 or $12, which is what a lot of the backlog was sent in as...can't blame them, as they are a business trying to make the most money they can, as a lot of collectors are trying to do. This methodology is going to try the patience of many a collector who submitted cards back in early 2021. It will be interesting to see what things look like at PSA once they finally make their way thru the massive backlog of cards they had/have.

I have sent around 12 cards to PSA that merited the express price. I will not be sending mid-level/low end rc cards until they are significantly priced less to grade.

On bulk $8-12 orders, they take as long as the take. However, on the previous Standard price submissions, they should be treated just as the now $50 are. Same turn around time published.

I hear ya -- I have a large number of early 90's Jordans, early 2010's Curry, Durant, etc, 90's Marvel cards, etc that I want to submit, but $50 is still cost prohibitive -- $25 is as high as I would want to go for a number of these cards, as PSA 9s may only be $50 and I would then at least double my grading fee on those...

I feel you. There are some that are PC that I would go SGC with, but not at their current prices.

110 card personal popped, mailed to PCS early/mid december 2020.

21/24 (87.5%) gem on 2019 prizm basketball
29/31 (93.5%) gem on Chrome baseball (2017-2020, Topps, Bowman)
37/48 (77.1%) gem on Topps/Bowman paper
2/6 (33.3%) misc (donruss / optic / upper deck goodwins / prizm baseball)
And 1 card damaged during assembly by PSA (kyle lewis topps LOL )

Everything seems in line with what I would have expected. The past few orders have had really nice gem rates too, although they were smaller batches.

Let’s call it like it is, PSA should NEVER have a submission in assembly for 12 plus weeks, but here we sit and wait for 2021.55 to move. This submission was a $25 per and not a bulk and as was said should be treated like the new $50 submissions. At the beginning they said an 80/20 split of the graders, but with the speed that submissions are moving and the number of cards being sent at the $50 economy rate, I would highly doubt that split now. Have anyone heard an update on their split now?

2020.428 Bulk grades posted, and the results were pretty much as expected. I was hoping for at least 1 or 2 gems and I ended up getting 3, all from 1992 Fleer - Shaq base RC, Shaq Slam Dunk RC, and MJ Slam Dunk. One of the other MJ Slam Dunk cards got a 7, and I thought it looked just as good as the 10 so I must have missed something on that one, but the rest of the non-gems all got 9s. Can’t complain about that, definitely a nice ROI on a $10 per card sub. This was my last Bulk sub from 2020, and all 3 of my bulks from 2021 are still in Grading, so I assume those are all still a ways out.

A bunch from research into grading, Id expect grading to fill up then a push to assembly. Again, I think February will be light with a big push to end Q1 and start Q2.

I really feel bad for folks that sent cards in during March, I think one of our best decisions was not to re-open at the increased prices.

Big change is that almost everything is out of R&ID which is great. Not much ready to pop and have no data points for changes last week. My guess is that we close out the 50 or so that are in assembly this month and then grading to assembly and other levels starts filling up for a crazy late Q1/ start of Q2.

I believe I submitted these cards about a year ago. I'm pretty sure it was February of 2021. Craziness.

EDIT: Submitted in Jan of 2021 and entered 2021.33 submission by PC SportsCards on 2/1/21.

I don’t even pay attention anymore until they get to QA1 lol. The line at PSA’s assembly machines probably looks like the line of people trying to buy toilet paper at Walmart 2 years ago.

yep, as I surmised a few posts up, my thought would be that early 2021 bulk subs would slow down more now that they lowered rates to $50, as I figured they would need more graders to be doing these new orders, thus removing them from grading the bulk subs. I totally agree that subs that were sent in at $25 back when should be treated like current $50 subs -- even if not, 12 weeks for an order to sit in assembly is ridiculous. Hopefully it will complete soon for you and others in it...

I'm in Standard 2021.75 and it's been is in assembly for "only" 82 days.
