Would not invest in companies that think policing and censoring your thoughts is a good idea. People are finally waking up after a bad five years.

As high as the oil companies can gouge us, and then buyback their stock with our tears. It's disgusting.

Amazon is pumping. I bought some of the dip and now only down 3% on it overall in the last month.

Don’t really see the purpose in them buying Peloton personally.

That stock is all about AWS and advertising. For being such a large company they really aren’t making that much money. I feel like that money could be better spent focusing on their businesses that already make them money.

Quite frankly, the retail/delivery side of the business is run almost as advertising for AWS. It keeps the name relevant to the average consumer. In terms of the stock, if it wasn't for AWS, AMZN would trade at a WMT or TGT multiple.

The only place I could see buying peloton for the exercise equipment business is like a planet fitness. It would be a hedge against their current operations and would give them a wide spectrum of usefulness to the healthy consumer. Apple/Amazon/Microsoft etc etc already have all the information of the consumer that little old Peloton would be providing them.

The market loves a subscription base and I think people view peloton as tech that can be bundled with other services. I don’t see it. Really don’t think think they’re much more than an equipment company like nautilus.

I think this was one of those desperate attempts to bring some reprieve to the stock so some more big players can get out.

I’d be selling any bump if I were still holding this thing.

Apple rumors, Amazon rumors never made sense.

I don’t even think planet fitness would want a hardware company, doesn’t fit the model.

LULU just bought mirror so maybe? I think the most likely is that they fall into obscurity and sellout to some private equity firm and go private.

I kind of think Peloton ends up being picked up by Amazon, Apple, or Nike. I’m not sure Planet Fitness would have the $ to compete in a bidding war between those 3.

Apparently Apple is likely “aggressively involved” in bidding war. We will see how it shakes out…some investors are getting a nice dead cat bounce at least from the gossip.

Peloton isn’t a hardware company. It’s a subscription service that the company does a poor job with. I finally caved and got a Bike+ last month. I love it. So convenient. Well worth $40 a month. But there is so much left to be desired in the platform that a real tech company willing to throw some money at it could fix almost instantly.

Selling bikes is their primary driver of revenue.

If you value them as just a subscription business they're worth a whole lot less

For now. The base model bike is only three years worth of monthly subscription fees. You’re not replacing your bike every three years.

They are overdue for a subscription rate hike. And with better development and promotion of their platform, they can grow the user base. Now, would I invest in the company? Hell no. I’m down to five companies I move in and out of. So much easier. AAPL, AMZN, TSLA, TGT, TJX.

Yea, it's gonna be tough for them to really grow that sub base I think. Have to imagine a lot of demand was pulled forward

The thing that is weird is they struggle with their offerings outside of the bike. The Tread has got next to no push. I believe they are bringing out something soon (potentially released already) for weight lifting.

From a stock perspective that is what scares me on them.

Im over 400 rides on the bike. I love it. They also lose overall market share due to the bike price. I dont know anyone who went straight to the peleton who has failed with the peleton. But I know a ton of people who wanted to try a echelon or some other $600-700 bike who fail with that or become uninterested really quick (I assume because of content/product quality), and then understandably wont get a peleton because they dont use the $600 bike. Nothing they can really do about that, except be more cost competitive which is tough with their set up.

Disney stock soaring 8% after hours on upbeat earnings report (Parks revenue is doing well again). This is on top of a +3% day today.

It's been quiet in here. I added another 40 shares of Sofi last week (total 140 now) and bought a couple July 15 call options. Bank charter should be completed this month I think but outside of the news that was happening I'm not sure there will be any upward momentum until March 1 earning....fingers crossed those numbers show strong user growth.
