Ya'll wouldn't understand unless you've been to the Nike campus. It's a city within a city.
J Hoffa could be rockin Free Runs sight unseen in the Bo for years. BBDub couldn't have picked a better spot to fade into obscurity.

Why is he in Portland to rehab, is there an elite rehab/training facility there? Hopefully he plays again this year. NGL he is a beast/dominant and fun to watch. Just wish we got to see more of him.

He's one of Nike's biggest signees and they have one of the best rehab/training facilities in the world (not just nationally). My best guess. Plus Portland is one of the least desirable destinations in the US in terms of climate and media coverage. Also see: Blazers free agent history. It's really a great spot to be in his situation.

![]() ![]() If only they could draft their own Yannis. Knowing Portland's history with bigs, they'd have taken Thanasis 3rd overall and he would have been in a wheelchair by midseason...

No worries. Giannis has 5 more brothers. I'm sure Portland will use their draft capital from the CJ McCollum trade to snag one of the Ant's.

According to Gemrate, there are over 300,000 graded Zion cards. There are a lot of people wanting a speedy recovery for him. (For comparison Kobe has around 310,000 graded)

This has been the most likely outcome for months now. If you believe the rumor, then it suggests they don’t believe imaging will show his foot has seen any improvement in healing.

"Last week, Griffin said Williamson will have another round of medical imaging done on his right foot either this week or next week. Williamson has dealt with a series of setbacks on his injured right foot over the past four months... Williamson was supposed to return to practice in December, but he began experiencing soreness in his right foot. That month, he flew to Los Angeles to have an injection to promote healing. It is possible he will need a second surgery on his right foot, sources said, but nothing has been decided." Um...this all feels a bit clickbaity...So if he didnt have the imaging yet (the author of the article doesnt seem to know), no one knows what the best outcome would be. And it was always possible to have a 2nd surgery after the setback in december (which wasnt decided upon back then)...which Khaldrogo points out was a likely outcome anyways... This feels like a slow news day article |

^ correct. Clickbait aggregator sites are not actual news. Unfortunately they get treated that way by the majority of the public.
I haven’t been buying anything with the intention of moving this season, thought the “maybe he’ll be back for the playoffs” was an overly optimistic long shot. Still, because public sentiment will likely drop from the noise this will make on social or whatever, the hole for low and mid end bass just got deeper. |

Too big of a risk. You want confirmation of normal recovery here.
If they say no second surgery, buy then. If he needs a second surgery, wait until he’s back at normal activities. Unfortunately, I think everyone will likely be kept in the dark this offseason if he does need a second surgery.

Too early. Unfortunately (depending on who you ask) his stuff will be dropping some more before hitting bottom
If you believe in him though there should be some good buying opportunities in a bit. Probably not for the risk averse, though. |
