Durant Auto Redemption

Coming up on a year since I redeemed hoops premium Durant auto.

1. Any experiences with him not signing or taking forever?

2. If I choose the similar card option is it just random and only based on value of redemption in Panini’s opinion?

I am in the same boat. Waiting on seven 2019 contenders auto redemptions. He signed the contenders optic autos but not the contenders autos.

I’m still waiting on something from either 2018 or 2019 optic, forget which it’s been so long. I just hit remind me in 120 three times a year like a routine on all my outstanding redemptions

Anyone give an example of taking a replacement card for a sure fire HOF and getting something in return?

Is it stupid of me to even consider it.. and just keep clicking 120 day reminder?

The problem is, changing your mind and trying to go for a replacement isn't a faster resolution at all - you will still just continue to wait forever.

I’ve had 3 redemptions for KD within the past couple years, and the first two were redeemed within about a year (they were both 2018-19 products - Optic Signature Series and Encased Vaulted Veterans jersey auto). The last one still outstanding is a 2019-20 Hoops Ink base auto, and I’ve been waiting almost 2 years on that one, so I requested a replacement a few months ago, but I still haven’t heard anything from Panini. The ticket status still says “in progress.”

I also had an expired KD redemption that I got points for. I opened a box of 2013-14 Innovation about 2 years ago and I pulled a KD prime patch auto #’d /10, which had obviously expired like 5 years before I pulled it. They gave me 4200 points for that one.

Same boat. Just passed the year mark for my Ja Morant HPS Hot Rookies Signature. Would be nice to have that kind of the year he becomes a superstar...

I’m not sure if there’s a way to tell until you actually get the auto back, as I’ve had experience with both. I had a 2017-18 Cornerstones auto redemption of Brandon Ingram, and when they sent the card it was a sticker auto, which was consistent with that specific set - I’m pretty sure all of those were sticker autos. But the 2018-19 KD Optic Signature Series that I mentioned was sent to me as an on-card auto, even though almost all of those pack-pulled autos that year were stickers. I wouldn’t be surprised if the Hoops Ink would come back with an on-card auto, maybe that’s why it’s taking so long.

I decided to ask for a replacement on that one because I figured I had enough KD autos already (and all the ones I have are from better sets), and I also have some other lower-end redemptions and other outstanding items (factory damaged cards and missing hits) that I was using as a rationale to try and get Panini to send me a White Box 1/1 in exchange for closing out all my current requests. I’ve been following up but still can’t get a response from anyone.

i pulled and redeemed the card shortly after release - i initially wanted it bc i was thinking it should be one of his first autos in a nets uniform, but after waiting two years i also requested a replacement. like you, i haven't heard back... so frustrating bc he has autos (sticker and on card) in tons of products since 19-20 hoops.

i've also been waiting nearly a year for redemptions that have been live for the same amount of time... for whatever reason they're dragging their feet on sending me the cards even though they have them.

They haven't updated redemptions in the past 5 months, nor do they respond to emails. I've never had a single redemption fulfilled by Panini that was actually the card that I submitted.

Usually kd redemptions would be live 1-2 years after the release of the product. Hope it doesn't change because I'm still waiting for the 2020 optic checkerboard auto 1/1.

Though, with that being said, I dont know why the status of my 2017 dominion kd curry dual auto is still in progress. Both are active signers but it's been 5 years since I redeemed it.

I just received notice that my 2019 Donruss Signatures KD auto has shipped!

Hopefully this is a sign of good things to come. I was about to request a substitute.

The redemptions were selling for $40 when I pulled it.

Mine just arrived today! I was bummed to see he was still in a Golden state uniform. I thought for sure it would be in a Nets one after waiting this long, but I guess they printed them back when the set released and have just been waiting on him to sign it.

Most to all of them that they don't have contracts or stickers for. Best to try and get a hold of somebody and get an update/replacement now because it is going to get ugly real fast.
