He was great in AA last year. Keith Law was pretty high on him in his Braves ranking this offseason, had him #6 in the system. Will be curious to see where fangraphs pegs him, he made some good strides this pastyear:

6. Tarnok was a double-projection guy when Atlanta took him in the third round in 2017 — they were projecting that his velocity would increase as he filled out, and they were also projecting that they could convince him his future was on the mound, not at the plate. He works in the mid-90s now, 93-96 when I saw him make a start in late June in High A, with good extension on the pitch and a very fast arm that I think would let him throw a 55 or better slider in time. He has an above-average changeup now and a solid-average curveball, using the breaker as his main secondary weapon when I saw him; he is going to have to use that changeup more, and work north-south with it, to get more lefties out as he moves up the ladder. He’s a plus athlete who fields his position well, with a delivery that lets him throw strikes. He has a back-end starter floor and could end up an above-average starter depending on how his secondary stuff develops.

I agree! Traded Murphy then go to the WS the next year. Doesn’t help that I despise every team from that city. Aside from a good cheesesteak i have no use for philly.

His prices have gone up a lot the past couple of years too. Before that he was insanely cheap.

I dont collect Braves stuff at all, but I acquired this years ago. Its just sitting in a box but its cool to look at so I dont really try and sell it. Its the box topper pulled original art for the 2018 Topps Gallery Chipper card. Here is the card for scale. Fun item, been trying to get an Alonso like it.

Agreed. Never had any I’ll feelings about the Rockies. But Murph going to the Phillies was just too much.
