Lost 2020-21 Panini Flux Titan James Harden 1/1

I purchased this March first and it was sent to the Ebay AG people in Sarasota FL.
They attempted to deliver it March 5th but the notice says they were not able to deliver due to it not being accessible .
Today I get a refund saying the mailer was empty... lmao!

This is the first time I was forced to use this Authenticity Guarantee and well it went worse than I thought

I have been refunded but am working to help find it in case it was stolen vs lost.

UPDATE

The seller and I have been in contact and here is what we have figured out.

The authenticator accepted the parcel and the following day sent a photo of a opened parcel with a missing card.

After this happened ebay opened, decided, and closed the case within about 1min then refunded me.
Seller-"I am out money, it was insured with USPS but because they signed for the item and it was delivered USPS said it’s not there problem anymore."

This is quite concerning as ebay is forcing sellers to use this service and not filling in the insurance gaps. If this happens ebay should be pushing USPS with the proof or covering the refund and taking the claim themselves vs forcing the seller to do it.

If the authenticator would have rejected this parcel there would be no issue but because they accepted the damaged package USPS is off the hook. If ebay wants to continue to middleman this forced service they need to be financially responsible for issues like this.
Ebay's language in their Q&A makes it seem like they want this to be a paid service/upsell in the future.
Scammers CAN abuse this system but ebay should know this and have safeguards in place to prevent this... like checking each parcel before accepting it

This will leave plenty of sellers screwed over!

man that sucks, out of all cards to get lost, a 1/1. I guess if anything be happy that as the buyer you got protected here in this situation and instantly refunded.

I can't believe these have to go through their authentication process - I mean what is eBay going to do, rip these out of the mag one touch and then place it into their crappy card saver delivery box? What would happen with the original one touch?

Could have been stolen before the first attempt. But it’s stupid that they don’t accept packages on Saturday. That’s 48 more hours for your item to get messed with.

The items arent authenticated by ebay. They are shipped to CSG.

This is why I don’t do Thurs/Fri for 2 days shipping.

Surprised nobody mentioned the possibility that maybe the seller mailed it empty on purpose. Maybe some sellers remorse after Harden stuff started rising due to the Philly trade? Would be a way to avoid negative feedback/hate from the buyer since they could just pretend it was stolen in transit.

I asked CSG and they referred to ebay which didnt reply. There is 0 Q&A about the process or any information other than trust us tbh.

I agree 100%! If you are doing this you should be open every day mail delivers or have a lobby to accept mail. This is a forced service.

I am in contact with the seller and don't think they did this. This all happened last night and have discussed it all today.
We are both filing police reports so I don't think that is the case. I am not 100% what you would do with a 1/1 ? I would understand a non serial #d card but anything with serials is easy to track down unless it goes overseas.
