Yea this would be nice in theory if they could limit it per account or day. But cue Jeff Goldblum voice,

Pretty sure it might have gone on for BD as well. I haven't actively participated in one...since I can do my own group break...with myself on ePack (haha!).

And I can totally see someone buying this at release and holding it sealed for quite some time, then doing breaks. When it TOTALLY dries up, say a few years from now, and is 5x-10x+++ MSRP (or higher). I think the only worry would be if UD went out of business or something of that ilk. That'd be a nightmare scenario that you'd need to monitor for. That'd also be one reason I NEVER leave stuff on there and typically don't leave stuff on COMC. I like my stuff in my safe place, not anyone elses, haha.

It seems to be an unpopular opinion, but I like the Preserved Amber in 2017- not as much the base ones where you can barely see anything, but the city scapes and full color. Especially the full color, they really pop and are the most beautiful inserts in the whole set imo, and only /5. The downside for value is this insert doesnt have any kind of sports connection at all.

Looking at the Spidey Metal Sell sheet on GTS, I think the Z force Rave cards have lots of potential. It's a design from sports, and there are some interesting parallels like Gold Rave, Amazing Rave, and Super Rave. Super Raves will probably be nuts.

It'll probably ran out around a few days after going live on epack. It can also mean a good thing: breakers are going to want to do fire sale to buy a new case and sells some stuff really cheap. You can say buy the dip?

I think it is an interesting insert set, perhaps because it has no sports connection. However, when I think of amber my mind immediately goes to Jurassic Park. And the cards, while they look nice, don't make a lot of sense.

The amber has what appears to be some insect at the top of the card. Rhino is not actually IN the amber, and why does he appear to be floating away from a city?

There was a group break on Facebook by ifish73 for a few cases of Black Diamond on ePack. The breaker has to be trusted and Ian is that guy. There was no difference except that he already bought the case and you had to have an ePack account. Everything else was the same, he made a post, set the price and people claimed them. He then posted a deadline for payment and set the time for the live break. Once live, he randomized the spots and we simply watched his screen as he opened them. An important aspect was that we see him scroll to the "open case/box" drop down. Afterwards, he sent trades out on epack. Easy day!

Inevitably when one product gets too expensive it goes to the next most desired product. I would think 2016 Marvel Masterpieces fits that mold. High end, Very limited and has all the top characters people love with great inserts. They are some of the most beautiful marvel cards out there. Tier 4 /99 base cards are super rare - almost like first Exquisite BKB RCs. I have a feeling those cards will go for big money in 5-10 years
I know I've said this before, but I remain bullish on the 2018 X-Men set. It's got the classic style PMGs (despite the lackluster art and some big names being missing), it's a premium set, and the Mouse is going to do something with the X-Men property sooner or later. It's also the only set with PMG Achievements, as well as some other numbered inserts (comic cuts, parallels, and X-Cuts (the black X-Cuts are /5)). Plus, it's got a lot of nostalgia value; anyone who was a collector in the 90s remembers that the X-Men sets were THE sets.

I think we'll see 2016 MM and 2017 Spidey keep shooting up, but I still think 2018 X-Men will start climbing, as well.

My thoughts the exact same about Jurassic Park haha

I actually like that Rhino as odd as it is. For some reason the cards really work for me- only the cityscapes or full color though, I cant get into the base ones. Part of what hurts the base is the character itself isnt colored. At least in the citycscapes /15 the character is colored. It's a strange insert set because the parallels go from /175 to....../15 and /5. Nothing in between /175 and /15.

Default Marvel Cards are going crazy.

Back in Jan, a Preserved in Amber Venom Full Color /5 went for a wayyy low price of $669.99 sold on ebay at auction by dcsports. Even at the time this was probably a tenth of market value if not less- hard to tell because no other sales to compare it with. It's probably like a 10k card at the least. All because the person listing it had it under Sport Cards singles and not Non-sport singles, and also spelled Amber wrong, they spelled it Ambrea. Someone got a really, really nice deal on that card.

Here’s my contribution. Full color but not exactly the best character

I am very bullish on 2018 MM and fell it is underappreciated. Look for more big moves here.

Lucky I finished two complete base sets filling one set of Tier 4 on epack and the other via ebay when they were selling around 75 per.

The next big thing is going to be the 1991 Impel Marvel Superhero Treats trading cards. You heard it here first.

Maybe it was /10
It was either purple or pink

Also sold the Green Goblin Cityscapes /5 last year for a couple hundred as well. I pick the wrong things to sell and and the wrong things to hold.
sigh

edit: it was from FUSM /5 purple

Default Marvel Cards are going crazy.

FUXM purples were /10

It would be an Iron Man FUSM purple /5 if it was an iron man PMG/5

Man that’s a bummer. I can say a lot of people posting here are probably in that same boat, me included. So, so many selling regrets…. Sometimes it helps to focus on what you did end up keeping, if anything.

It does seem so, since it sold basically instantly. But what is even a realistic value for the spidey what if at this point? Hard to tell with so little comps

And it hurts if you focus on what you didn't buy. I am a Rhino collector and passed on the FUSM PMG /10 Green probably close to 18-months ago. It had been sitting on COMC for something like $80 for the longest time. The price just felt a little too high to me.

(of course, it was at the time being!)
