Default New Reason to Ask for a Discount on Ebay

I have been buying and selling cards on Ebay for about 20 years, and I thought I had heard every possible reason to request a better price on an item. However, I believe this message I received on a 2018 Revolution Lebron PSA 10 listed at $34.99 obo takes it to a new level:

"March 28, 2022 Hi! How about $19.99 for this Revolution card? The market is saturated with these right now. For your kind consideration. I am not reselling but plan to donate to a very needed boy in Masbate Philippines. Thank you!"

What is the best reason/excuse you have heard?

I'm an eBay dinosaur. Happily, I don't get this at all now. I do get snarky comments about my ultra-high pricing Buy it if you want it more than I do.

I’ve had people complain about my pricing and for some reason, the card seems to sell shortly thereafter for closer to my asking price than their offer

That was classic! Ever heard, "I'm a repeat customer who's fallen on hard times (lost my job) but I'd still like to offer you some business. How about 79.00? ....for my item listed at $199.99.

It's better when you get these messages on BIN with no OBO listed...

I really thought the town in the Philippines was something else at first glance. I wouldve stopped reading at the "for your consideration". normal folk don't talk like that.

Do none of you have a heart? Why should the needy boy in the Phillipines have to settle for a PSA 9?

The words "needed boy" and the city name are suspicious. It sounds like he may be wanting to trade it to a Phillipino boy for something that sounds a little bit like that city name.
