Not only collecting, which we have been since he came here. Now, in the morning, I get to tell my daughters that there favorite player is no longer on their favorite team. Went through this before with Longoria. It’s not good to form any type of attachment to anyone from this organization…

In related news, I am not happy with this move. It sends him down the ladder market wise and doesn't give him any better opportunity for PT this year.

If there’s one thing I’ve learned over the years it’s that the Rays always have a plan so you shouldn’t doubt any move they make

If there’s any organization that’s earned the right to make what look like on the surface as questionable moves it’s them

If the Rays are willing to trade a player, be worried about acquiring that player.

Also, I’ve lived through this my whole life as a Marlins fan. That’s one of the main reasons why I also just became a fan of certain players in general, regardless of the teams they play for.

Don't confuse that with a commitment to keep him long-term. If Wander performs at an all-star level for a couple seasons, the Rays will be able to get a haul unlike anything we've seen before.

I actually deleted my quip about how the Rays would probably flip Wander for some organization’s entire farm system in a couple years. I didn’t want to pour anymore salt on the Rays fans’ wound.

If that contract is bottom-heavy, it’s not a lock he finishes that deal in Tampa. Also, are there any opt-outs or no-trade clauses?
