I'm pretty impressed where it ended. I'll bet it would have gone for a bit more raw but probably not much. Probably a lot of bidders including the high bidder planning on cracking and resubmitting anyway. Did the buyer pay?

Based on what the raw orange 1st edition (/25) and raw purple sapphire (/10) sold for, I would have guessed yours would have brought closer to (but not over) 5 figures.

Still - this is the highest non-auto issue sold for Mayer, so that checks out.
