Wow - hopefully PSA does the right thing with these recent trimmers being caught...

of course, they rather stay quiet because you haven't heard them say anything (at least from my knowledge)

Wow good work yet again!!! I was highly skeptical when I started to see PSA 10s popping up for this years Contenders . These were terrible from the factory and with that top boarder there was white on basically every top corner or edge front and back for literally every RC Auto I've seen.

I expect something this week. Would be disappointing if the company didn’t come out with a formal statement banning the submitters. They should buy back the slabs, then go after the trimmers in court. Seeing the cards they own, they certainly have enough assets to make it worthwhile for PSA.

Appears someone hacked Khal's account.

Humorously, cardporn did an overlay of two unrelated cards, suggesting the identified cards aren't a match.

Using the PSA 10 (64240219) from the OP, it appears they are comparing that auto against the raw card from post 21 (note the card stand in the image). The raw card from post 21 was also altered but only graded as a PSA 9 (64147461)

TRIMMED: 2021 Panini Contenders Zach Wilson Autograph PSA 8
PSA Cert #: 64147459

Left edge is trimmed too actually. You can tell by looking at the photo on the back.

Nope, been radio silent for days now, when he's used to posting multiple stories a day.

Is this Cardporn person a moron? Why compare 2 unrelated cards and not the dozens of examples that are proven to be the same?

That certainly appears to be the case.

Lol. I always thought you were card porn. I guess that isn't the case! Or maybe you are trying to throw us off?? =)

Appreciate all the work you do! .

They are definitely not cardporn. Cardporn was a bit difficult to work with, but at least they finally put up a post.

I give people on blowout crap about not knowing what they are talking about sometimes, but holy hell IG is absolute insanity when it comes to cards. Some of the comments about trimming blow my mind. One guy said it was "adding value" and compared it to getting new insoles for vintage Jordans.

Lol if that is the case I kindly refrain from my moron comment.

EDIT: post above confirms not. I stick by my moron comment.

I remember being pretty shocked when a big IG account was (the way I understood it) very open about using "cleaning services" to clean up refractor scratches and then resubbing for better grades. IIRC this cleaner was banned from PSA.

I just saw an ad on Instagram the other day for some guy's card cleaning/repair kit, thought about posting it here. Can't remember what it was called now.

I believe that post was about someone trying to trick him in to scrutinizing a card that wasn't actually trimmed. I respected the discretion before trashing someone else's card

This, so much. The new school "investors" were all over the comments asking "what's the problem?"

I'ts like this - if I go buy a new car, and later find out the dealer bought a slightly used car that had been in an accident and just fixed the damage and re-set the odometer to zero - but I paid a new car premium - THAT is the metaphor.

I'm not so naive to think that I don't inadvertently have trimmed cards in my PSA collection (specifically in the vintage stuff) but I do everything in my power to vert the cards I buy and/or grade myself.

I'm also curious as to how PSA catches marginally factory undercut cards. I sent in a pack-pulled 1993 SP Foil Adrian Hardy, it was N6'd - and sure as hell - it was just a hair smaller that normal size, it was so minimal, I didn't catch it by eye.... but they aren't catching these hatchet jobs? I'd love for Nat to weigh in here.

Well the card he posted is trimmed so that doesn’t really check out. As was the raw card (though that was after that photo was taken). They just weren’t the same card.

Okay, thanks for the clarification. I still think it's good that they use their platform to shine a light. And thanks for all you do for the hobby!

Haven't seen a public statement from PSA but it appears all the trimmed cards pictured in this thread are currently deactivated.

The cards not pictured but noted to also be Kong53 submissions from the OP, still appear to have good PSA certifications.
