Default Would you pay this much for Micah Parsons?

https://www.ebay.com/itm/14454091678...gAAOSwLp5icy0j

I like Micah as much as the next Cowboy fan. But he's a defensive player with just one season under his belt.

Granted its a gorgeous card although that looks like a sticker auto?

I could see maybe if a version of this existed of Reggie White before he died getting this kind of money but Parsons?

Nope. Defensive player is all you had to say. Maybe if he had enough seasons and DPOY awards Kirk an Aaron Donald but still too much. I wish defensive players got the love QBs did but we know that’s not how this works.

You mean a card or the actual guy? Card, no.

For him to replace Grandma at left tackle in the annual Bnut Thanksgiving Bowl… hell yes.

Good looking card. I wouldn't pay anywhere near that, player worn, and a streaky looking auto.

I wouldn’t but it seems in line with nutty prices.

It doesn’t even say player worn.

It just says authentic memorabilia.

I wouldn't, but $8000 to me isn't the same as $8,000 to some others.

So maybe he never had any contact with the jersey? That's lame.

If you're a Cowboys fan and believe in the kid, why not. Have you seen what people are paying for prospect spots in Houdini's baseball 100 case Bowman break? 7 years ago, maybe 3 prospects were over $1000. Now there are few prospects less than that and many over $5k. Though rare, some players spots over $40,000. I get its baseball and you get base/autos but for football, this is one of the best. This is a Top 5 card of his, the NT RPA Shield Auto is cheap.

Baseball prospects are a completely different animal than prospecting a defensive player in football.

I could almost guarantee he never had contact with it.

There is a reason Panini used that language.

NFL RPAs are the worst. When the bottom falls out, it’s gonna be ugly with these 5-6 figure event worn cards.

Going by current bid price, I'd pay about $4000 for it.

Beautiful card.

Auto is atrocious ink-wise.

I wouldn't buy it.

I would not pay that much for Micah Parsons.

Yeah, pity it's such a streaky autograph. If I were the type of person who would want to afford that card, I'd be tempted to peel it off, get it signed by Parsons at some event, then PSA/DNA it. Maybe use a nice red pen.

That auto is in bad shape, I wouldn't be surprised if it fades to nothing in a few years. I would stay away at these prices.

I wouldn’t, not even close, but it is a great looking card imo.

Only if you think he's going to be the best Linebacker ever and win multiple SuperBowls. Even if he has a great career like Zach Thomas it would be worth half of that.

Nope. No reflection on the player, who is terrific.

I saw a one color Trey Lance #/99 NT RPA hit 10K +bidding in 24 hours on the same day reports emerge that the Niners have doubts about him.

Even though I have all the other NT RPAs of Niner rookies, never ever gonna pay these prices. I like money way too much.

Charles Haley won 5 Super Bowls and even he doesn't get enough respect as an iconic edge rusher. Though his first two SBs were far more important (and impactful) than those later ones.

Panini really couldn't resist trying to dilute the absolute holy grail with a FOTL variant could they

It's not really the SBs but more of his position of LB. To render those prices he would need to meet/exceed LT and LT had 2 superbowls.

Doesn't really Help having close to 400 rc 1/1s including 40 in National treasures 8 of which are shields of some sort.

Better auto, and yes, i would consider paying $10k for that card as an investment.

Why?

I look at it like this: Give me 10 guys who show promise (but aren't totally on the radar and fully priced like your Zion's, Lawrence, etc) and the chance to own their best cards like this for $10k.

If one of those 10 guys hits and my sell timing is right, I'm ahead.
