Won't get an argument from me. Putting the logo as the patch ruins the card for me. I would much rather have the patch represent the colors of the jersey than a generic logo. This applies to NFL shields, laundry tags, etc.

If I get a Lebron Lakers patch, I want to see purple and/or gold in patch. Same thing with Heat - Red/White.

Cut it into 3 pieces.

Logomen for everyone!

Still $2 mil per piece.

I know it was a few years ago when it sold just as the card boom was building, but there is absolutely no way in hell that this card should be valued at more than the Jordan/Lebron dual logoman and for that matter the Kobe/Lebron or Jordan/Kobe dual logomen in 2003-04 Exquisite.

The Jordan/Lebron sold for $900,000 I believe which at that time seemed like a steal. It was around 2019.

Based on how much card prices went up since 2019, that card would be well over $10 million.

Although I believe it should be, it wouldn’t be. LeBrons 2003 RPA exquisite/99 sold for more than the Dual logoman around the time which surprised me but would mean that as far as value is concerned the hobby covets that over the logoman. Personally, as a collector, I’d rather have the Dual than the Lebron RPA /99.

If my memory serves me right the sale of the Dual was late 2019 early 2020ish and the Lebron RPA exquisite was selling for over $1 million in April of 2020. His parallel #/23 was selling for much more.

The Lebron RPA actually sold less than $900k when the Dual Logoman was purchased by Nat. That was RIGHT before the covid boom when everything started to sky rocket.

It's also a shame that the 2003 Logoman's did not come with any ink. That's why some prefer the 2004 and later version with Autographs.

Plus the Lebron RPA has taken quite a beating recently. Being available every other month does not help the value. Whereas these MJ/LBJ/Kobe Exquisite Logoman's will continue to break records everytime they exchange hands.

It is a shame it wasn’t signed however the historical significance of the Dual Logomen for 2003-04 Exquisite are on par with any other “grail” cards in the hobby. After all quite a few of the most valuable cards in the hobby have no ink or patches.

I agree with everything in your second paragraph.

The Logomen would have fetched far more at auction.

Why was it a private sale? I’d think the same as you, $900,000 at that time I thought was low. Now, who knows what it would bring in an open auction.

Because Ken brokered it to Nat. Along with other cards from the collection.

Well if the back says Game Used, it has to be true. Panini is always super honest!

Well, that's interesting.

Karma, God...I mean, I don't know.

I do know that there is a long track record of seemingly fortuitous events like this ending badly for people.

These "lucky" lotto winners, for instance.

Personally, I couldn't care less where the card ended up. Hopefully those guys make some smart decisions and live happy lives.

I do agree, though, that the images of Lebron on the card look a bit odd.
