Lebron is an ego maniac that tries to hide his narcissism. Jordan and Kobe were crazy as well, but they never tried to hide it. I don't trust someone that isn't true to themselves. Leaving rings, stats, legacy etc. aside, it's more difficult to like Lebron, his game and his personalities compared to Kobe and MJ, even tho he has accomplished a lot, arguably more than Kobe and a more dominant player.
He's even more of a manufactured product of NBA and media than KB/MJ. A higher portion of those who own Lebron cards are only in it for profiting rather than collecting. Hence when price drop his cards should drop more. Has nothing to do with accomplishment.

One things for sure, he’s definitely a part of this generation of scrutinizing everything/everyone.

He could have been so much better if he just followed some of our wishes and took all the fouls like Shaq and didn’t get those extra free throws and stayed with a poorly managed company (team) and never worked for a better company, while keeping his mouth shut about the people that are now below him because he’s moved on in life.

I’m sure all of us would regard that often injured, zero championship NBA player as one of the greatest ever to play.

What I think our entire country could use is a little dash of objectivity to the kaleidoscope of people's actions. Just because LeBron was entirely wrong on the "You're next" tweet or completely off-base with his mind-numbing comments regarding China, doesn't mean he's wrong here. That's all I'm saying.

It’s also the timing of the battles he chooses to pick. He will frequently comment on things before all the facts have come out, then puts his foot in his mouth to keep silent once more information is revealed, ie he frequently jumps to conclusions about things. You would hope his publicist would coach him about these things, but sometimes guys like Bron, Elon and the Donald are guys you simply can’t coach or screen.

Literally the entire WNBA is lobbying for the American government to help get their Griner back, just like a company would with their employee, or a family would with a family member.

LeBron's doing this in solidarity with that community and there's really no reason at all to think he's doing it because he thinks he's "bigger than the president" unless you think the same thing for everyone else doing the same thing.

It's bizarre to me that people think it's far-fetched that Griner is being held for political reasons when she's being held by a country that has simultaneously that is doing what Russia is doing right now and has a history of doing what Russia has a history of doing with false charges.

All the more weird given the fact that Griner has been traveling in and out of Russia for years prior to this point, and that all through that times Griner and other WNBA players have clearly been in a "rules don't apply to them" situation.

I'm frankly quite critical of WNBA players, Griner included, for things they've said pertaining to playing in Russia. They didn't grapple with the meaning of their privilege - the idea of Griner going to that country as a gay person as they persecute gay people just makes me shake my head - but quite literally, if Griner was going to be persecuted for deviating from Russian norms on general principle, it would have happened years ago.

The fact that something is happening in 2022 for the first time, well, it should make everyone ask the question "Is this about politics?" with the knowledge that Putin and Russia often miscast situations to their advantage if they see any possibility for it helping them politically.
