Unfortunately, there's no clear way to price this in the market. If MLB has a season long strike, so prices drop 10%? 60%? What are the odds of a strike? Better than 50%?
I've been thinking about this. One thing that gives me a little more confidence is 2020. The perception of a labor stoppage would be different, I know, but maybe we don't get blasted.

I'd put the odds of a stoppage at well over 50%, maybe even over 90%. The question is, how much of the season gets ruined? I'm not countinng on any of my normal spring training income (for the 3rd straight year ), but if it's a short stoppage no harm no foul. Where I worry is if it drags on for multiple months and/or cancels the postseason.

I saw the same thing in poker with its main message board. The posters there thought the whole world revolved around then, but 99.9% of poker players had never heard of that message board. I figure the same is true for baseball cards.

Keep in mind, some (most) people don't want to learn, so why would they bother reading when they don't' have to?

If you weren’t making money when there was money to be made, you’re doing it all wrong.

Well, buying in February 2021 and selling now for a profit would not have been a bad idea.

Only God knows where we are headed, but if you were in high-end ($5k+) only when this was created, you’ve done pretty well going off Card Ladder. Low- and mid-end have not fared as well. High-end has pushed up pretty much every sport/non-sport specific index.

SuperKhal and the other moon bois kept up their “buy everything shtick” in that and all other threads.

That would be a better thread to dig up.

All their investorz bought at the top.

Let’s see how quickly they burn through their cash with their new “innovative” card pumping programs during a recession and end up in the red.

They also bought Topps for pennies on the dollar.
