COMC - first few hundred cards up, mostly $10-100

The first few hundred cards have posted to my COMC page. It's a pretty good mix of stuff, mostly in the $10-100 range but with some lower and higher end items.

A few nice cards from this submission:

- Mike Trout / Pardee Artists Proof Topps Project 70 plus a bunch of other Project 70 and Project 2020 APs

- 2020 CJ Adams Immaculate Prospect patch/auto 1/1

- 1966 Pele Sicker-Verlag

- Shohei Ohtani, a bunch of serial number and parallel cards

- 1963 Topps Willie Mays VG-EX

- 1972-73 Topps Pete Maravich, Artis Gilmore, Kareem

If the processing estimates are accurate, a few hundred more cards should be popping every four days or so for the next couple of weeks. I'l try to update here with some highlights.

Since I'm new to this, I just tried to set my prices so they were the lowest or among the lowest on COMC (and on ebay when they pass through). So I don't offer any big discounts, but will look at offers up to 10% off. In the future I might change this.

Finally, I bought a port to play around with when learning how to list things on COMC, so please ignore the large number of $1 cards. I've started donating many and am figuring out what to do with the rest.

A bunch of new cards up, still sorting/pricing the last of them. Some of the cards include:

1. Lots of 1/1 parallels, superfractors and printing plates, mostly baseball.

2. A bunch older Japanese cards (including Sadaharu Oh RCs) and new ones (including Ohtani Japanese RCs).

3. Mix of baseball, soccer, and basketball.

Some of the cards are obscure or scarce (by definition for 1/1 I guess) so I'm still playing around with the pricing. Some are likely to sit until I figure it out. A few got snapped up right away already. Hope you find something you like!

A couple of hundred new submissions popped over the last few days. It's a mix of stuff, including quite a few Japanese cards you don't see for sale very often (plenty of HOF players but also less familiar minor stars).

Some of the cards currently up for sale:

- lots of hard to find Sadaharu Oh and Shigeo Nagashima cards including RCs

- cards from iconic Japanese sets: 1959 Hoshi Gangu, 1968 Kabaya Leaf, 1960 Jintan Gum, etc.

- rare Japanese cards, many with R4 or R3 scarcity ratings (meaning 10 or fewer known copies or 11-99 known copies, respectively)

- 1/1 cards, printing plates, and autos of: Mike Trout, Jordan Alvarez, Cody Bellinger, Oscar Colas, Nate Pearson, Kyle Gibson, and others

- various random RCs: Diego Maradona, Erling Haaland, Joe Montana, Lynn Swan, Rickey Henderson, Minnie Minoso, Gleyber Torres, and others

Trying to dial in prices (I'm new to this). So I'm applying a 20% sale on everything as an experiment.

Reduced a lot of prices, roughly 15-20%. I had been using a 20% sale but hadn't realized the sale prices didn't carry through to ebay, which is where I seem to get most of my sales (at least for the more valuable cards).

Newly added cards include:

- graded baseball, basketball, football, and soccer including Ohtani RCs, Dr J RC, Mbappe and Maradona

- 1940s Cuban baseball cards, including some Negro League players

- more Japanese baseball cards (including Sadaharu Oh and 2013 Ohtani), both graded and raw

- more 1/1, /5, printing plates and Artists Proofs, mostly baseball. Still working out pricing on these, so you may see them move around

Lowered a substantial number of base prices to make sure the large majority of cards are the lowest priced on not just COMC but also ebay (through COMC).

Hope this makes prices attractive for set collectors, etc. There are quite a few early 70s baseball and basketball HOFers still available.

One last sale for a while. ADDITIONAL 35% off largely reduced prices. I try to move my prices to keep them the lowest on COMC and usually on eBay, too.

I've tried offers at 10% and 15% and sales at 20, 25, and 30%. So this is my final experiment (35%) to see where pricing meets interest. Hopefully I can use data from these sales to dial in prices where I want them and then lay off the sales for a while.

In the meantime, there should be some pretty good bargains.

Submissions are trickling through the process, so some new cards every day. recently some vintage soccer and hockey to complement the baseball, basketball, and football. Even a few 1977 Star Wars stickers and cards.

Graded cards seem to be taking longer to pop, but I have quite a few listed and am expecting a lot more to get listed in the next week.

I finished my sales and price testing. It turn out I was selling a fair number of card for pull price on ebay even when they were on sale on COMC. So I'm taking a new track and just reducing the asking prices rather than using promotions (to hopefully drive more sales on ebay, as well). I've stared with the lowest priced cards and made it up through $30 so far.

The large majority of these cards were already the lowest prices on COMC (and generally lowest price on ebay, as well), BEFORE the price cuts.

In the under $30 range, the cards are predominantly 1960s-present:

- baseball
- basketball
- soccer
- football
- and (often very rare) Japanese baseball cards

Currently running a 20% off sale. With very few exceptions base (pre-sale) prices are already the lowest on COMC and usually ebay, as well. So some good deals for set collectors and others.
