The July 9th show in Westminster, CA got moved to July 10th due to a scheduling conflict with the vendor.

No they don't check, there's two people on each side of the entrance just making sure you have a badge. They don't stop anyone, way too many people going in and out to check.

For the National what are the best days to go? Only day I can't go is Sat. Son and I will likely go for 2 days.

I've been collecting for a long time but have never gone. Always thought it would be too overwhelming.

Thursday and Friday gives you two full days…Saturday can be busy plus Sunday you never know who will still be there

Not that it relates to anyone here.

But I got to the Sydney Hobby Hangout on the weekend. 3 floors! Just wild. Never seen anything like that in Australia.

Mostly modern of course. So many new people so I have no idea what it means 10 - 15 years from now.

A lot of range too. Basketball mainly, but then F1 and UFC the like along with Pokemon.

I would say Australia has more of a collector mindset than people buying to flip. People know what they are after. Whether it's a good buy or not, it doesn't seem to matter. Definitely more of a collect what you like vibe.

A few nice things there but I actually left empty handed. Another show in Melbourne and them Brisbane soon.

I will be there, it is a nice perk being local. You will like the show, there is a lot of cool stuff, and a lot of variety. Maybe I will spot you looking at some Pacers cards while I am walking around!

I am curious to see the current vibe, hoping prices keep falling so us collectors can get some deals. I am bringing some cash, but if I end up with anything major it will be through trades. Still on the hunt for a KG Exquisite Patch Auto and a Tim Duncan Flair Showcase Row 0 rookie, will see if either show up this weekend.

If it's anything like the last one, it will be awesome! Has a bit of everything there. Kind of like a mini National. Many of the dealers there will also be set up at the National as well.

The Dallas Show was fun today. I’m a small fish compared to these dealers with millions in their case, but I was able to trade my way into my first Luka rookie auto and also picked up some other fun PC Cards. Friday seems like a good day to go before it gets packed on Saturday.

I went to Dallas this weekend as well. I was about to post this but I will post it here. I’m interested in peoples thoughts. I spent about $700. I got some really good deals

But a couple things stuck out to me that drive me insane
This guy set up literally had shoe boxes thrown out on the table with $1000s of dollars of slabs. . He was getting a lot of attention because he had a really good stuff but nothing was priced. He had 2 LeBron rookies that were going for like $150 apiece on EBay. I was interested in them thing is they were going for like $300 each 6 months ago, so when I asked he said make offer So I just said $140 and he jerked them out of my hand and acted all offended . I did this at a few different tables Where they had nothing priced andI pulled up comps and basically got laughed at, and I don’t do the one comp or go try to find the lowest comp. I find a good amount of comps .
As a buyer I think it’s funny that sellers want to take an average of what the card was going for six months ago , but back when I was going to card shows at the peak of the pandemic craziness they were wanting to sell them at the peak comps on EBay and if you pulled up something from a month ago they would consider those old comps since everything was going up.
In my opinion if you don’t like current comps leave the card at home.

There are some things that are so low right now I don’t blame people for wanting to hold onto it, but don’t put it out for sale. Especially if you’re not going to price it. People are just going to offer you 80% of RECENT comps. If you’re the type of seller that tells people just look it up on eBay and make me an offer. Overall I left the show very happy . Got some great deals. Spent way more money than I planned ( which I don’t mind when I get deals) I also got one of the top cards I’ve been looking for at a steal, but I had some rough interactions with some dealers
