Fascinating.
This is hilarious. It seems some people are easily affected

There is definitely a divide going on. If a group selects certain individuals, they seem to have different rules of conduct. Ray Lewis was in a bad situation by being in a bad place but it’s nearly forgotten. Some owners have made lousy decisions but have different rules that apply to them as far as punishment. Hypothetically, if a person is selected it’s about keeping the group hidden more than having equal punishment applied to them.

Look at MLB ownership. They stole what was equivalent to $20 Million per owner in roughly 2019 in terms of monetary value for the Colluding in mid 80’s. Compare what the value of money for those in the Black Sox scandal accepted the most bribe money. That money in roughly 2019 would be worth $74,000. The owners and GM’s are not banned from the HOF like the players but both committed the same act - Defrauding.

Of everyone named so far, Cecil Collins is the most bizarre. 15 years in prison for breaking into a woman’s house to watch her sleep! Weirdo

Terrell Pryor probably would have had a very good career as a WR but he wanted to be QB.

Has anyone mentioned Jamarcus Russell?
He of the purple drank, the biggest #1 overall pick bust.

This is more about patience. He had a fantastic career but retired a year too soon...Tiki Barber.

JPP's a two-time Super Bowl champ and has longevity, stats, individual accolades, and team success. Heck, if he gets signed to another Super Bowl contending team and somehow wins a 3rd Super Bowl, he may find a way into the HOF someday. Unlikely, but it could happen.

I only included him, Ki-Jana Carter and Sylvester Morris was because posters had used other players as examples like Bo Jackson, Robert Edwards, Drew Bledsoe, who all suffered a similar fates of injuries cutting short careers.

Yeah this thread is mostly about rehashing old grievances and finger wagging.

Also, Stephen Ross.

News flash he wasn't on a career trajectory for the hall of fame, maybe the hall of very good but that's about it.

A non-HoF career trajectory doesn't mean a career ruined.
