Jeez didn’t mean to strike a nerve. As others said it’s for inventory purposes not a flex. Also the thread is about what deals you did at the National. And. Well. That’s a deal I made haha.

Appreciate the others that’s checked it out. If anything it shows you what to kind of expect when going to the National. I thought I made out well so that’s all that really matters right? Either way I’ll refrain from posting the other deals I made today. Had a blast though!

I don't know about the Funko but he definitely had a box or two of Benchwarmer cards. I could hear a few people there caught off guard when they opened the box. I think I saw his booth Thursday but it was always so crowded I couldn't find a spot. There were plenty of great deals in his baseball boxes and I imagine the other sports had them too, I just didn't want to spend my whole day in the booth.

That Mantle/DiMaggio is great! I've made a ton of deals. Maybe overpaid for some but I don't care. I'm writing them all out on my blog each night. I'll post the links and start a thread when it's over tomorrow when I have time tomorrow or Monday.

Steals vs. Good Deals are two totally different things in my book.

For me:

Steals: Got a card for $1 that sells normally for $100.

Deals: Got a card for $50 that normally sells for $100+.

Sounds like based on a few YT influencers, even deals were hard to find.

IMO, dealers don’t sell $100 for $50 knowingly anymore. I would catagorize that as more a steal. A deal is more like buying a $100 for $70-$80.

When I’m at a card show, I will search for steals. Typically, $2 buys to $8-$10 sells. $5 buys to $15-$20 sells. Occasionally, I will find cards that I buy for $5-$10 that sells for $50-$100.
