Got my two today. One to open, and take out the singles to put in the collection, and one to leave sealed.

Not just the wrong photo, but additional completely irrelevant photos of cards that aren't available in the factory sets. Solid execution, Walmart!

Thanks for the link...they appear sold out. Is there a way to set an alert to know when they are back in stock? There used to be, but I don't see one right now.

Target Green box gets you the 5 variation rookie cards in a pack, one Topps chrome refractor variation rookie card (loose) and also the JRod, Witt, and Tork RC that are stacked in the front end with the comeplete set cards

Cool. So the chrome is a different image from the paper variation (as usual, but nice to get the confirmation). So many Wander RC-logo cards!

Never saw them get listed on the site. But I think they're popping up in stores.

Nice! So that's another... 5 x 6,403 = ~32,000 sets. Combined with Walmart (~115,500) and Hobby (~51,500) that gets us to ~199,000 sets so far.

Wait a second here! I am confused...is the Walmart special edition I ordered online the green set (it seems to show a generic set on the website)? And does it have a chrome variation card or 5 foilboard cards?

Assumption 'round these parts is that it will be the Walmart exclusive, i.e. 5 foilboard cards - per the item description (but not what's actually pictured on the Walmart page, which is the general retail set). Recently the Walmart exclusive boxes have been green, but it looks like maybe this year one of the Target exclusives got a dark green box?

The Walmart one will look like this this year:

No, no chrome RC variation. That's a Target thing.

I remember calculating the # of Target/Walmart/Hobby sets for 2020 (possible due to #'d parallels of a known number of base cards) and it was 97,000 sets.
That's less than Walmart alone this year, and remember that the "generic blue retail" is thought to be the most produced, and the number is unknown (no #'d parallels).

Probably around 350,000 to 375,000 factory sets (and that many more Franco RC's) flooding the market.

I usually buy the Target sets because I have a Red card. Haven’t seen them pop up online yet, and the Walmart sets were back in stock (thanks for the link & notification, guys!). Good news is I grabbed a set; bad news is they’re being shipped via FedEx….

Printing error on the 5 Rookie Variation Cards. They are marked With "Chrome" underneath the card number similar to the actual chrome variations.

I believe the print run trick is still in play from last year. 2/2 on gold star variations.
