He’s similarly priced to Mac Garoppolo. I’ll take Lance. He is the least likely to drop a massive amount of these rookie qb’s in my opinion. If he were priced like Mahomes it would be one thing, but he’s not. He’s priced like Lawrence and Mac. Somewhere between 1/5 -1/10th the price of Mahomes on most cards.

If they keep Jimmy, it's not a good sign.

Sounds like Jimmy and the team have already discussed that he’s not going to be a 49er anymore.

You're not going to find out this year because he's going to be running for his life....the 49ers O-line is pretty bad.....

if you're basing it off the Houston game, they had most of the starters on the bench.

he'll be fine, and so will the 49ers. he's going to drive the ball down the field, something Jimmy couldn't or wouldn't do, and that frustrated Shanahan big time.

Jimmy G will rep the squad in the NFC championship. Book it.

To everyone buying tens of thousands of dollars of Lance, ya dumb.

I don't think it's particularly a bad investment.

That being said, I will not be investing

When Burrow was 22 he was still playing his junior year at LSU throwing 16 tds in 13 games. Not concerned the slightest about Lance. Talent and IQ is all there. I don’t think the front office is either. This move is about what makes the most sense. Nobody was giving a 3rd rounder for him, now they will get one back next year at the worst. On top of that you get a great backup and free up a ton of cap space.

I get what you're saying, but not many guys go from a projected mid-late pick to unanimous #1. He was a serious outlier.

And Burrow was playing at a top school in one of the top conferences in college. Lance played one season at a Division 1 FCS school which has like 90% of the best FCS players every and basically go undefeated every year and win most of their games by 30-40 points regardless of who the QB is. Saying Lance has the talent and IQ to be an NFL QB based on one season at NDSU doesn't mean anything.

I think you both missed my point. Trey barely turned 22. Burrow didn’t have his first great season as a pro until he was 25.
Trey doesn’t have to light the world on fire this season, but he can. At that age Mahomes didn’t, Allen didn’t, Burrow didn’t.

Correct, pending the introduction of new evidence.
