Is there any fake/counterfeit 96-97 flair showcase legacy card? I don’t see any information in this thread

Fakes should have ZERO value.

Backdoored cards are still cards produced by the company that were not distributed into packs. They still carry value though it’s not the same. I believe it was The Chicago Sun Times Show that had Playoff a booth back in 98 Show Stamping cards. They had to be pack pulled but received parallel stamps limited to that weekend show. It’s value ? ?

The font doesn’t look like the sgc 9 one…. 068/150, or maybe it’s the problem of image?

There is also one row 1 on eBay without serial number, is that considered a backdoor?

Ah, I thought you meant the front Legacy stamp. Request a scan of the back from the seller, if it's all on the up and up he should have no problem doing so. When he sends it, I can take a look at it also if you want.

Happy to help.

I also noticed who was selling the other copy, Buy Nice Cards / Eric Bitz, I'd look him up before ever offering with him.

Someone recently reached out to me about the card below, letting me know that it might be a bankruptcy card. I had never heard that about these having bankruptcy versions (been out of the hobby a LOOOONG time) so after a quick search, lo and behold I find this thread. Any thoughts or insight? Is the missing name on the back a sure sign? Sorry...I just realized this is the basketball forum. I guess the dead giveaway should have been all the basketball cards... Mods...if there is one for FB please move this. TY!!

Is this authentic?
This stamp looks sky blue, not purple.

It's a bankruptcy backdoor card for certain.

Looks like a new batch of fake stamp, sheet cut cards have entered the market.
Credit Adam (the27guy) for the research and matching up the cards to a recent uncut sheet sold by Goldin.

On a similar topic, Spinotron has also flagged this Pippen 63/70 that passed through PSA.

I would suggest removing this one from the database until more information can be gathered on it.

The stamping is consistent with replacement copies, which have longer slashes than pack pulled copies. Just because a credentials has a long slash does not mean it's fake. These scans alone are not enough to definitively say the stamp is not authentic.

Wow that is so crazy. This is a perfect example of why many collectors are scared to buy these expensive 90s inserts. There are so many ways to get burned. thanks for posting this!

prices driven up = more incentive to do stuff like this

can't really get upset at it any more, when some of these guys call out non-insiders and fail to call out their own friends, or friends of friends so that they don't burn bridges with their connections.

What doesn't make sense to me is that counterfeiters keep on targeting the late 90s inserts and parallels, but I don't see them faking more lucrative cards like lebron topps chrome gold, exquisite rpa, etc.
