Default 2022-2023 Predictions thread

Aside from some PTOs, shock trades, or retirements the offseason is pretty much in the books.

Predictions time.

I'd like to take a carolina-edmonton cup matchup.

Vegas misses playoffs.
Oilers don't get out of second round.
Leafs don't get out of first round.

Flames VS Canes SCF.

Predictions are typically boring, let me try to go from boring to bonkers.

1996 Stanley Cup Finals rematch... and repeat of results.

Ovi suffers a down year that casts doubt on 895.

Sharks get Bedard.

Zegras gets 100 points.

Fabian Lysell wins the Calder.

Leafs win a round.

Hart - Matthews, Norris - Makar, Vezina - Saros, Selke - Aho, Calder - Perfetti, Jack Adams - Brind'Amour

Surprisingly good teams: Ducks, Senators
Surprisingly bad teams: Oilers, Blue Jackets
Habs win the lottery again!

Senators offense is looking a lot better... but will anyone care about the team?

philly wants to see Giroux do well. Lot of people who'd love to see the Bruins fall flat on their faces and ottawa's rise would be a part of that.

Winning a 'few rounds' implies 3 or more which puts them in the SCF at the very least.
Very Bold prediction!

Johnny Gaudreau constantly sets it up on a tee for Patrik Laine to run away with the Richard trophy.

Blue Jackets make a big trade at the deadline for an elite defensemen, make the playoffs, and go to at least the ECF

I agree with Laine winning the rocket this year. Not sure about the other one though lol.

Hockey prices will explode, bringing in a significant number of hockey speculators/ investors, with many staying longer than a season.

The Jets...bounce back, and contend for the Cup!
Stranger things have happened. Plus now looking like the lack of leadership is getting sorted out so that has to help. #55 might even back check now?
