What if Hawks didn't pass at the 1. That play could have potentially turned Seattle into a running dynasty. Instead it completely dismantled the personnel and forced a rebuild. As the old adage goes...it really is a game of inches.

My bad. Players only.

I'll go with Luck.

Because of all the BO investors that could have had purchased a timeshare in Chesapeake instead of a share of Chesapeake Energy.

Jerome Brown. That Eagles D was stacked even without him but he was a pretty valuable piece.

Before Tom Brady, the Patriots were just as much a joke of a franchise as the Lions and Browns, and they woulda killed to be the Bears.

This isn't very true at all. They were a team that routinely had more winning records, possibly even more than not. They were in two superbowls before Brady in 11 years 1985 and 1996. Which is more SBs than the Bears were in during that time. Though the Bears did beat them in 1985.

Wasn't able to play in the NFL, but I've always wondered what Marcus Lattimore would have been like if not for the hit vs Tennessee that destroyed his leg. Dude was a beast.

That's putting it mildly

As for other what if's:

Steve Largent - what if the Oilers hadn't traded him to the expansion Seahawks?
Brett Favre - what if they traded Chris Miller instead of Favre?
Todd Gurley - what if his knee hadn't degenerated?
Le'Veon Bell - what if he stayed in Pittsburgh and hadn't held out in 2018?
Kevin Dyson - what if he scored?
Nick Chubb - what if he didn't score?

You don't even need to throw out the what if Brady had gone to another team.

What if Bledsoe hadn't suffered a season-ending injury? He had just signed a 10 year deal.

IMHO, Tom Brady is the biggest "what if?" player of all time. What if the Patriots passed on him? What if some other team drafted him 4 slots ahead of New England? Would he have even made that team? What if Bledsoe never got injured?

Today he is firmly established as the GOAT but it took a minor miracle 20 years ago to even get him on the field of play. NFL history could easily have looked MUCH differently.

Anyone remember this guy and the years of havoc he was supposed to unleash on college and the NFL?

The Bledsoe thing is fascinating because it happened not once but twice and gave rise to 2 obscure QB's who turned out to be very good. Tony Romo the second time around. He also had his own share of what if moments.

Yup.

All Mo Lewis had to do was pull up and Poopsburgh likely has 8-10 rings.

What if Randy Moss had picked UT and played w/ Peyton?

What if Vick didn't have 3 lost years?

What if the Rams had kept Kurt Warner? What if he wasn't bagging groceries for 4 years before someone gave him a chance? What if the Giants didn't replace him with Eli? That guy no matter how many times he was held down still found a way to a HOF career after starting in the NFL as a 27 year old rookie.
