Did you watch the video lol? When Draymond and Poole initially get face to face, it's just words being exchanged. The first physical act is Poole shoving Draymond out of his space. I get why he did it, and most people would do the same thing. But at the same time, if you're going back and forth #@#@#@#@-talking with someone and then you shove them, it shouldn't come as some absolute shock if that person throws a punch.

It happens all the time in the NBA; look up the Ibaka-Lopez fight from a few years ago. The 2 guys get in each other's faces, Ibaka shoves Lopez away, and Lopez throws a punch.

Him not getting suspended wouldn’t change my opinion that he should be suspended.

When I first looked at this I read "Pistons" instead of "Prison" and I was like yeah that would be a good solution, send him to the Pistons. He'd be a perfect fit

For those who are faulting Poole, what would you have done if someone was super aggressive with you and got right up in your face? Human nature is to push them away. What else was he supposed to do? That's not a reason to get punched. Draymond was looking for any excuse to throw a punch.

If I was Poole and Draymond doesn't get suspended, I'd walk right up to him and knock him the eff out.

Draymond has been bullying that guy since he got on the team seemingly based on stupid Michigan vs Michigan State rivalry. I'm sure there have been a lot more incidents that didn't get leaked to TMZ

I am not a fan of Cancel culture. But that was an viscous punch and it was obvious JP had no clue that was coming. That is really unacceptable if the NBA wants to be so strict on everything else.

Well, we know how the Celtics came down hard on one of their own. We'll have to see how GS handles this one. Which team enforces more disciplinary action. Will it be similar or nothing but a slap on the wrist? It's not like it's Draymond's first time of bad behavior.

Bobby actually quote tweeted Bobby Marks saying he was defending himself and screenshotting an article that said Niko charged at him twice before he punched him.

No brainer, Draymond should get at least 20 games. Looking at the video, there's no way he expected Poole to do anything else...and Poole also didn't expect that type of punch coming from Draymond.

Dray walked a good 20 feet and chested up to JP. That was the first physical contact. JP had every right to push him away and in any court of law it would be considered a reasonable defensive act. Dray was clear the aggressor and instigator of the physical altercation. If this happened in any other workplace and the police were called, JP would be listed as the victim of assault. Do we accept a different standard because their occupation is basketball? It’s sounds as if many of you do.
