Yeah, it’s a real bite in the ass. One would figure base, but not the chase cards… I understand you need to shithesecardsout, but man… quality control is a thing that used to really define any product. You would buy a brand name on reputation alone. Now that there’s only one choice for licensed product… no one cares about doing a job with pride.

I couldn’t believe how many topps chrome blasters and megas I saw at Walmart last night - 40 blasters and 10 megas - all untouched.

Haven’t seen licensed baseball cards there in three years - it was amazing. Almost had the impulse to pick up a mega.

Left them there, for the kids.

Assuming a lot of this chrome retail is going to go un-purchased, what is their mechanism for eventually getting rid of the stuff. Will they cut price? Or try to redistribute through some other channel?

Both, you’ll see 20% discount stickers on these maybe next year, but still too pricey given the higher srp.

They may eventually move a bunch to the big three - maybe we’ll see a ton of Black Friday specials next year - but still too pricey unless over 50% discount.

Recently MJ Holdings put some discounted 2021 blasters back in my local store, for the first time since 2018. They were 21 Archives, which they had pulled off the same shelves back in March or so.

4 LITE boxes and got 1 good hit.

Outside of this, nothing of note and only 1 base Wander and 0 Cruz. No ESP of course.

Decided to open my last box and then this popped out. I'd say I made out well for my 5 boxes.

StockX's lowest price was 210 dollars last week, I've since gotten three emails a day notifying me that they're down to the 150ish range. Over a one hundred dollar mark up is absurd, glad theyre apparently not selling at that level and people are lowering their prices now.

Anyone telling you they can calculate print runs with 2022 Topps Chrome after all the distribution madness is only lying to themselves and to you.

The only one they might be able to zero in on is logo refractor which I believe people and pinned at somewhere in the 225-250 range.

That’d be the estimated print-run for the SP RC Logofractors.

The regular Logofractors have a much higher print-run (I don’t know what it is but it’s certainly a couple thousand).

I calculate the base print run to be around 3000.

Nothing crazy, here’s what I remember:

- Ohtani Club Plaque
- Tyler Gilbert gold /50
- Wander base RC
- B/W diamonds of: Longoria, Albies, Cole and someone else
- Heart of City Merrifield

Thanks to those that responded to my print run question! Maybe when the smoke clears and all the different Topps chrome products are out someone will figure it out. I was just asking because I wanted to form my own opinion on how much I should be paying for the various chrome refractors (I have been following sales on 130point).

Regardless of print runs, you’ll want to wait at least a year for most established guys. Just look at what 2020 chrome refractors sell for now. Even the Bo’s and Yordan’s…

The only guy I am looking to buy is Wander Franco. Buying Franco after the past year is risky, but if he becomes the player most think he can be than the prices he sells for now should look cheap (I see low end comps on the more common refractors at around $30).
