That's the thing about baseball. It could be just about anyone. The obvious ones are Witt, Pena, Wander, etc... But it could be someone you don't expect at all. Heck, Hunter Greene has always been billed as a generational talent if he can put it together. And in the 2nd half he did just that. It's entirely possible he tops this class down the road. But it's baseball. Several could end up hall of famers, or none of them. Jrod could end up the next Bellinger. Who knows?

Good little return for those that bought at $50. Most of those guys...that were going to sell, already have. Now the true test begins as the market softens more, baseball hits the off-season and a ton of chromium still to come.

I think I just saw a sold three box order for $455 plus tax and shipping. I’d gladly sell my three for that if it wasn’t eBay.

Singles seem to be all over the place too. Some sellers aren’t budging on their cards 3 or 4x over comps. Perhaps they are banking on a lot of this getting ripped?

I'm currently working on the base set w/o SP RCs (mostly complete, have 2 trades that are about to take place) and have been toying with the idea of completing a numbered set.

I wanted to do green or blue but the singles are still pricier than what I'm comfortable spending. That leaves me with pink or purple. Truthfully, I don't care for either color.

If you had to choose between completing a pink (/199) or purple (/250) set at current singles prices, which would you go with and why?

Another possibility is to complete the entire base set w/ the SP RCs and Future Stars inserts, and pick-up a 1-2 numbered parallels of select rookies (e.g., Wander, Cruz, etc).

For me it would be Blue, but if I had to choose between just Purple or Pink I would go with Purple. It's higher numbered so should be cheaper and to me I prefer the looks over the Pink.

I agree with going for blue as well but cost is the obvious factor there. I never was a big fan of purple but it will be the cheapest and I hate they went with another pink for /199. The pink just doesn’t stand out anymore due to they now have pink unnumbered borders, magenta /299 that looks just like pink and now pink /199. It just doesn’t pop with the over saturated use of pink this year. Don’t know why they didn’t stick with a aqua color for /199 in this product as they stayed true to the other colors/number system.

I think the blue looks really nice but like you said that would get pricey. I'd choose the purple simply based on how those cards look but pink may be the cheapest. I've only looked at prices for deGrom colors and the pinks are a little cheaper than purple.

I appreciate everyone’s advice! Seems like no one really cares for the Purple/Pink either haha. Maybe it’s just base to pursue the base set (with or without the SP RCs and Future Stars) and add 1-2 blue parallels of the main wants. I’ll give it some thought, but once again, appreciate everyone’s input!
