Whats wrong with Crusade and Weakness?

"While we wanted to share some of the experience, we also reinterpreted this product with a modern approach. We wanted to be nostalgic, but not everything met our modern standards. So, we removed six cards completely. The cards removed are:

This is possibly the biggest ripoff ever. Think of all the actual beta cards you could get for $1k? This is Hasbro trying to wring out as much money from Wizards and the players as they can. Pretty gross.

They banned a bunch several few years back due to racist/social reasons. I think weakness wasn't included due to the art potentially mocking disabled people.

You're right, although Crusade is the only card from Alpha that made that particular list. Here's the article:

Contract from Below, Darkpact, and Demonic Attorney missed the cut because they are ante cards, you touched on Weakness, and uh, I'm not surprised that Earthbind wasn't reprinted.

Anyone buying this at $250 a pack should just sign power of attorney over to a friend or loved one because they can’t be trusted with money.

They used a strange choice of words questioning whether it technically did sell out. They said the "sale had concluded and the product is unavailable for purchase". Most speculated they didn't want the product to sit on the site for a long time and would pull it down regardless if it truly sold out or not.

Exactly, a lot of folks anticipated that it would "sell out" regardless of how it did to make it look better for them. Did you see about all the Pokemon, Yugioh, and other Youtubers that Wizards of the Coast tried to pay to promote this? It's been crazy.

Yeah, most of the Collectors channels and MTG bigs are saying to boycott or turn away from magic. I was thinking the Card (sports and breakers) would pick up the slack on the purchase, because at $1k a box, that seems low for the High Wax guys.

But not knowing the print run hurts the roll out, and then Who would you sell it to, if everyone was boycotting. Opening it sounds like a joke. 4 packs, 300 card set?

Yeesh. I had a few boxes sitting in queue, but did not pull the trigger.
