SGA- 38/9/6 last night against Dallas.

This OKC team is now the youngest in the league. 2nd youngest in history of NBA, but there is some really good young talent. They move the ball well, and everyone can shoot. Top 10 defensive team as well. It sucks that the rest of the World doesn’t get to see them play, but they are actually pretty solid. Pretty confident they can battle for a play in spot this season, and then add Chet next season to be a solid playoff team. This is the most well put together Thunder team since KD left. (And again….it’s sad that no one gets to see them play)

Where is Detroit in the youngest?

True. I liked the 2017-2018 roster too, I feel they were building real nice then Andre went down and it was a wrap. Shows how important the right glue guy can be

There's not a lot of age spread among teams under 26.

Oklahoma City Thunder – 23.14
Houston Rockets – 23.58
San Antonio Spurs – 23.84
Orlando Magic – 23.94
Memphis Grizzlies – 24.27
Charlotte Hornets – 24.60
Portland Trail Blazers – 24.78
New York Knicks – 25.02
Detroit Pistons – 25.08
Indiana Pacers – 25.08
Atlanta Hawks – 25.23
Minnesota Timberwolves – 25.44
New Orleans Pelicans – 25.56
Utah Jazz – 25.86
Toronto Raptors – 25.88
Sacramento Kings – 25.97

The oldest teams wouldn't surprise many. (except maybe Cleveland)

Milwaukee Bucks – 29.47
Miami Heat – 28.13
Phoenix Suns – 28.05
LA Clippers – 27.98
Dallas Mavericks – 27.89
Brooklyn Nets – 27.57
Boston Celtics – 27.48
Los Angeles Lakers – 27.15
Cleveland Cavaliers – 26.83
Chicago Bulls – 26.67
Golden State Warriors – 26.66
Denver Nuggets – 26.59
Philadelphia 76ers – 26.54
Washington Wizards – 26.26

This can be somewhat misleading.

Is there a way to find average age of teams weighed by how many minutes they play per game?

LeBron's playing a ton more minutes compared to Scottie Pippen Jr.

What exactly is misleading? Directionally, it's going to be accurate unless you're arguing a team is made up of all old guys starting and all rookies on the bench, or vice versa. It was pretty easy to do just using minutes played data from Basketball Reference:

Team GP Age (adj by MP)
MIL 6 30.18
LAC 7 29.52
LAL 6 29.43
DAL 6 29.22
BRK 8 29.17
PHI 8 28.79
PHO 7 28.72
MIA 8 28.38
BOS 6 28.07
GSW 8 28.02
CHI 8 27.99
UTA 8 27.88
WAS 7 27.61
CLE 6 27.04
CHO 7 27.00
DEN 7 26.90
NOP 6 26.65
POR 6 26.34
NYK 6 26.33
MIN 8 25.78
SAC 6 25.51
ATL 7 25.47
TOR 7 25.30
MEM 7 24.72
SAS 7 24.55
IND 8 24.08
DET 8 23.68
OKC 7 23.34
ORL 8 23.04
HOU 8 22.60

Oh, and yeah it's been great seeing him getting some recognition. I just don't want to post anymore because this forum generally sucks and I don't want to put up with accusations of pumping. If the team hangs around .500 and there's rumblings of him making ASG, I do wonder if there's any jump on his cards. I've been getting inquiries on stuff but in general I think most people are still only willing to buy if they can get in "under comps", which is dumb because if a new high comp hits, they're going to pay more than today's price anyway

Appreciate the data.

Lakers go from 8 to 3.
Heat go from 2 to 8.

Was surprised to see the Warriors almost in the same spot on both lists.

I just think it's more accurate to weigh ages by minutes played instead of just averaging the entire roster. Like I said, 21 year old Scot Pippen Jr isn't playing the same amount of minutes as 37 year old Bron.

Super real-life good.

I can kind of see OKC trending the Pelicans route in the next 2-3 years barring health.

He reminds me of MJ without the crazy athleticism.

Little early for that comparison but he's turning into a star.

37 points tonight in a loss to the Nuggets.

he seemingly doesn't miss when he gets to his spots in the paint for that little floater/fade jumper from 10-12 feet. He's too lengthy for most guards to bother his shot too.

Now I can definitely see a comparison to be made with Penny Hardaway. Long, rangy switch guards that play both ends of the floor. Like Anfernee, SGA just seems to glide when he has the ball. Extremely smooth transitions.

His play does remind me of MJ, just one without the exceptional athletic ability.

It’s crazy that he is able to get to his spots, without the athleticism. He has sort of an old school game to him.

NICE! I also have two pair of his game-used shoes. One of which is the first pair of Converse he ever wore in a game, after signing his contract w/Converse. Hope to get them signed in the next few weeks.
