Default PSA standards - How the F is this a 6 (not my card)

Im not sure what to even say about this. I have a version of this card that has a tiny tiny dot on it and got a 6 instead of a 9. This disaster gets the same grade. What world are we living in?

It gets the "very nice condition for a parallelogram" bump.

These are generally data input errors. I once had a VG-EX 76 Payton come back a '10', along with a VG-EX 79 OPC Gretz come back an '8', and in both cases PSA told me it was a mistake, had me send the cards back in and gave me some vouchers.

These things happen. It doesn't bathe the QA departments in glory-- particularly now, where they're taking 1-2 months to push an order through-- but it is what it is.

It probably belongs to Nat Turner. See Jordan PSA 10 not a 10 Nat was bragging about on Twitter.

I'll go out and guess that Nat Turner isn't grading OC Star Wars cards and secretly shagging them to Rick.

PSA gave his Jordan a 10 that should have been maybe a 6, so anything is possible. Lol.

I heard it was NAT card of Luke skywaker but he only gets 10’s on cut up Jordan’s.

So must’ve been a friend or insider with psa

Everyone else gets 8’s and 9’s

These are some pretty bad "mistakes" by PSA.

Don't they have not 1 but 2 QA steps to check for that?

Obviously the QA checks are mediocre at best.

The first QA stage is for reviewing grades.

QA2 is for checking labels and the actual slab. Ive seen some recently graded slabs that had cracks or other imperfections.

Thankfully. If they were more aggressive theyd bump down half of all 10s instead of just 5-10%.

You must be new around here. Many of us have been criticizing and mocking grades from PSA for years.

Its pretty sharp TBH - totally would be a 8 MC but I guess whoever graded it didn't want qualifiers

We probably know more than most PSA graders.

Miscut qualifier....Required

https://www.psacard.com/resources/gr...tandards#cards

MK & MC qualifiers are not optional, like the others (ST, OC, OF, PD)

I think QA is done based on the confidence score the AI has in grading. Not working great.

I was thinking on the Luke card what is the centering grade at BGS? a zero?

PSA deactivated the cert. Blowout = QA level 3?

When was this card graded? Nobody knows if this was graded by AI, and if it was, some HUMAN should have visually noticed it.

It seems weird to blame such an egregious error on AI without any support for that.
