Got back to opening up my hobby boxes from Topps. Haven't had a lot of free time, first 5 boxes have been pretty meh, nothing huge outside of a Bobby Witt SP Image Variation. Box 6 FINALLY had something very awesome!

Finally came across some hangers in the wild. forgot about my local Barnes and Noble after coming up empty for everything at the surrounding Targets, got there and they had a shelf full of hangers but the old guy behind the register would only let me buy two. Brought my step daughter in later and bought five more lol. Hoping for some good luck.

Do Home Field Advantage cards count as the 'hit'?

I just opened a hobby box that had a HFA (Bobby Witt Jr. yay) but no relic or auto.

My initial assumption is that the HFA is the hit but the box says 'look for 1 autograph or relic card in every hobby box' so that to me says I got shorted a hit.

Curious if this is normal. Thanks.

HFA is not the "hit" for a box. Submit a missing hit form! (Hopefully you still have the box)

Just curious if there is anything guaranteed for a case. It seems like HFA cards are case hits, but is it actually one per case? Any insert or something that falls one per case?

I've opened 2 cases (Jumbo + Hobby) and received 1 HFA per case. Super limited sample size, but that has been my experience.

My plan was to keep the other 4 Hobby boxes sealed, but I’ll probably rip them - too much fun to be had.

Wasn’t planning on buying cards this morning, went to Walgreens for some cough medicine. Found 2 Update hangers in the seasonal toys (not the normal card section in toys). This was in hanger 2

Definitely nothing guaranteed per case - Topps doesn't do that (at least not in flagship). Pack odds may work out such that something is expected once per case, but that doesn't mean it always happens. HFA didn't get pack odds in Update for whatever reason, so we can't really know. I can say that out of the three sealed cases I opened (2 jumbo 1 hobby) I only got one HFA (from one of the jumbo cases). I also got one in a loose hobby box from Topps. Apparently the universe thinks I'm a huge Sean Murphy fan.

Bought Fanatics gc's last year at 1/3 off instead of the usual 20% discount and I returned them all to Costco anyway. I'd rather buy from my usual shops as they'd never leave a customer hanging much less wrap anything without bubble wrap and packing peanuts.

Yeah, I had gift cards for this. And to be fair, they did have this hobby box inside bubble wrap, and a good amount of crumpled kraft paper for stuffing. Not sure anything would have been safe in this box though.

BJs shipped a sealed case of hangers. Kudos to them for realizing there's 64 in a case.
